Pick-up from your hotel between 7:00am and 8:30am, and then drive to Ming Tombs (50 miles away from downtown about one hour driving). The thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. You will visit Changling, the head and the largest tomb of Ming Tombs, where Emperor Yongle (the first emperor in Beijing) and his Empress Xu were buried. The sightseeing on the Ming Tombs takes about 1 hour. The visit to Ming Tombs finishes at about 10:45. Before having lunch (11:30 am), you will have 45 minutes for a short visit of Jade Carving Factory. The jade carving is a famous special Chinese product, a blend of the excellent skill on carving and Chinese traditional cultures.
Having traditional Chinese lunch at Jindian restaurant. After lunch, driving to the Badaling Great Wall. The hike on Badaling Great Wall takes 2 hours. Badaling section is the most famous and best-preserved wall. Its highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. Cable car is available and optional.

Any trip to China is incomplete without a visit to the magnificent Great Wall, and one of the best places to admire the grand structure is from Beijing.
This guided bus tour will take you solely to the Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing, so that you can thoroughly explore the structure. Mutianyu is one of the best-preserved and best-known sections of the wall, and during hotter months, it's also one of the least crowded locations--making it a relaxing visit.
Your tour guide will pick you up from your Beijing downtown hotel lobby at around 7 – 8 am based on hotel location and settle you into a comfortable, air-conditioned bus to start the trip.
It takes approximately 1.5 hours to drive up to Mutianyu Great Wall. During the drive, your English-speaking tour guide will provide you with historical and cultural context in relation to the Wall so that your trip and be all the more engaging.
Upon arrival, make a short visit to a jade carving factory to learn about the Chinese jade culture and see the unique carving craft. Then you may hike up or take a cable car at your own expense to explore the beauty of the Great Wall. You can take some epic pictures, admire the tensely distributed watchtowers, soak up the stunning natural scenery for around four hours at the Mutianyu Great Wall.
To leave you enough time on the Great Wall, lunch is excluded in this tour, but you may bring bottled water and snack. Later at around 2 pm, rejoin the group and have a relaxing transfer back to your hotel.

8:10: Visit Tiananmen Square
Follow your guide to take a morning walk around Tiananmen Square, and you can shoot distant view photos of the brilliant landmark buildings such as the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People and the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao.
9:00: Visit Forbidden City
Walk through the Gate of Heavenly Peace with the great Chairman Mao's portrait on it; you come to this morning's highlight - the 600-year-old Forbidden City - the largest and the most intact imperial palace complex of the Ming and Qing Courts (1368 - 1911 AD).
The majestic Forbidden City has 9,999 rooms! Which are the most essential and interesting parts? We will spend three hours or so exploring the main buildings centering upon the central axis, which splits the entire compound into two symmetrical halves.
After the trip is completed, you will find yourself already near the North Gate of the Forbidden City. It’s your choice to leave with your guide or take advantage of your ticket to linger inside longer to explore the Imperial Garden for more photos. There are cafes and Beijing snacks sold in the peripheral zone, so you can just tackle your lunch here before continuing your own exploration. Your guide will be glad to provide you suggestions to get back to your hotel.
11:30: End the Tour
As we finish touring, we are already near the North Gate. It’s your choice to leave with your guide or take advantage of your ticket to linger inside longer to explore the Imperial Garden for more photos.

Take an entire day to explore two sides of Beijing: the old and the new. Visit the modern Beijing landmarks in the form of the Beijing Zoo and the Olympic Green. While catch glimmers of the ancient side of the city at the Lama Temple, along hutongs and at Jingshan Park.

These reflect ways of the old, but are rapidly being demolished to make way for new roads and buildings. However, some are designated as protected area and some others are packed with various boutique stores offering a lively atmosphere.
Later go to Jingshan Park, a former imperial garden, and get the best and the clearest view of the Forbidden City.
