On the whole a great itinerary. I would drop the Sunderbans though, since the chance of seeing any wildlife while sailing for hours up and down the middle of the river is unlikely, especially since the animals are behind a fence. We had an excellent tour leader, Kiran who is warm, very informed and energetic and who certainly went that extra mile in solving problems and caring for everyone. The local guides who travelled with us were also great, as were the drivers. The hotels in India were the Summit hotels, an Indian chain. They are clean and quite well organised. However since those in Sikkim were out of town we were forced to eat dinner in the hotels which produced the identical menu. It would have been better to have spent the bits of free time we had in Sikkim in the towns themselves.
Experience the real India on this comfortable introduction to the cultures of the north and the natural beauty of the south. Travelling from Delhi to Kovalam, see what India has to offer on an 18-day adventure. The country’s highlights and hidden jewels are revealed against a backdrop of green through the Western Ghats and in the vibrant towns of Rajasthan. Visit India's bustling cities contrasted with quiet tiny fishing villages, along with tea gardens, tribal homes and historic enclaves. This wonderful introduction to India includes lavish palaces, vibrant bazaars and the incomparable Taj Mahal – one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Stray off the tourist trail with an eight-day hiking adventure on some of the great ancient pilgrim routes in Japan. The Koya-san and Kumano Kodo treks take you deep through the wilderness and into the mountainous landscapes of Honshu, as you gain insight into the strong connection with past and present pilgrims. Along the way, stop by peaceful temples and monasteries, soak in traditional onsen and discover the cultural hubs of Kyoto and Osaka. This small-group adventure will give you both a physical and cultural workout around the best of enchanting Japan.
Do not miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see some of the most endangered animal species. Book this trip with us and travel to the UNESCO-listed Chitwan National Park, located some 146km away from Kathmandu. Participate on a guided, 3-day tour of the national park and see an amazing diversity of flora and fauna.
Enjoy our pickup service from Kathmandu or Pokhara and travel to Chitwan in an air-conditioned tourist bus. Covering an area of 932 square kilometres, the national park is home to a variety of endangered species, including 500 one-horned rhinos, around 120 Bengal tigers and a large number of lumbering elephants, crocodiles, pythons, deer and brilliantly colored birds.
Visit a traditional Tharu village on the first day of the trip. The Tharu people have been living in the jungles of the southern plains of Nepal and northern parts of India since time immemorial. Go out on an elephant safari, ride a canoe and visit an elephant breeding centre on the second day of the trip.
The third day of the trip involves birdwatching in the morning before you prepare for the departure. We will drive you to Pokhara or Kathmandu in a tourist bus after the trip is over.
Chitwan National Park is one of the most popular wildlife safari destinations in Nepal. Located in the plains of the Terai in the southern part of the country, this national park is known for its abundance of wild animals, including some endangered species such as one-horned rhinos and royal Bengal tigers.
Join us on this 3-day trip to the national park and get to enjoy the best of Nepal's rich biodiversity. The national park came into existence in 1973. In 1984, UNESCO designated it a world heritage site. This wildlife reserve is home to 56 species of mammals, including endangered one-horned rhinos and royal Bengal tigers, 543 species of birds, 126 species of fish, 590 species of butterflies and 47 species of reptiles.
You will take a comfortable tourist bus from Kathmandu to Chitwan on the first day of the trip. The next two days, you will be occupied in jungle safaris, nature walks, bird watching, local boat rides, and a traditional performance by the Tharus, an ethnic group indigenous to the southern plains of the country.
The best time to visit the national park is from March to May and from September to December. Head for the bus station on the last day of the tour and catch the bus to Kathmandu. For more details, please go through the itinerary below.
An excellent tour of Nepal. Trekking through the jungle was a great experience and views of the mountains - simply amazing! I was very impressed with the guides. They were gracious, knowledgeable and pleasure to trek with!!! In addition, the breadth and depth of knowledge the guide has is phenomenal, he made sure everything ran to plan while maintaining a cheerful deposition at all times. 10/10 to the company and the trip!!
Amazing trip! Our guide Wit has so knowledgeable and passionate, full of energy, smiley and so kind. The itinerary is so beautiful, full of surprises - not two days were the same. I loved the train journeys, the villages, elephants in the jungle, rice fields - everything was just incredible. Hotels were great, but my favourite was the homestay and raft houses (I almost moved in forever!)
If there is a only thing I would change, that would be staying a night in Sukhothai, we were there on the first day of the candle festival, it would be amazing to see it at night with all the lanterns etc :)
Overall, absolutely amazing, one of the most beautiful trips of my life.
I had an amazing tour, thanks to Mr. Dinesh Kumar who took a good personal care of me since the first message I dropped here to enquire about some details, and he showed a high amount of welcoming, accommodating and flexibility to change some minor details in the program to suit my needs. I was able to see a lot in the 6 days I spent on the tour, this included tourist sights, traditional markets and a wildlife safari. The car was clean and comfortable, the hotels were thoroughly selected, especially those in Agra and Jaipur which I liked the most, and the guides I met in each city were kind and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this tour and company enough, and I wish them all the success in the future.
