I loved this tour, not just for the beautiful sights but for how much I learned. Japan is so different from North America in terms of culture, manners, even how people move through a city. I found it fascinating.
The tour guide didn’t just take us from place to place. He taught us about Shinto traditions, post-war history, Japanese etiquette (like how to bow or take off your shoes in homes), and more. I felt like I came home not just with photos, but with a better understanding of the world.
We saw cherry blossoms, temples, even deer in Nara Park. Hiroshima moved me deeply. The whole trip was emotional and eye-opening, but in the best way.
I’m 66, and this tour was easy on the body and stimulating for the mind. What more could you ask for?

You can finish off your night with one of the following options:

At 5 pm, you will be picked up at your hotel by a taxi or cyclo. Your first stop is the renowned Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, where you will watch a traditional water puppet performance complete with operatic music. Water puppetry has been a favorite pastime of farmers in northern Vietnam for thousand of years. It is said that this art form first began at a time when rice paddies were flooded and villagers would make entertainment by standing in the waist-deep water with the puppets performing over the water.
After enjoying the traditional puppet show, you will continue your walking tour along the Hanoi Old Quarter. This place is also known as "36 Streets" where hawkers sell a variety of produce (from live seafood to exotic fruits and spices). Here, you will have dinner featuring a good selection of regional Hanoi dishes served in “street” style (local style).
Around 9 pm, you will visit a traditional coffee shop where you can sample authentic Vietnamese tea or coffee. Take time to communicate with the local patrons and learn more about their way of life.
Around 10 pm, you will continue strolling around the Old Quarter to observe Hanoi's night life. You can find some nice spots for taking pictures to keep unforgettable moments of your night tour in Hanoi.
Finally, you will return to your hotel at the end of the tour.
