The local tour operator provided a very good, friendly and sensible guide to accompany me as a solo traveller going to poon hill circuit. The office was very organised, confirming a price quote quickly so that I could make arrangements. I'd recommend this trek, preferably out of the busiest season. I'm sure this company would make a very good tailor made tour for individual needs at any time of year.
I am back at my office now after 12 days trekking and still dreaming with our trekking around Anapurnas :-) We were there the first 2 weeks in September and fortunately had only 2 days rain. This was to be my third trip to the Himalayas, the last being the Annapurna Circuit in 2006 (before road building started on the circuit). I was looking for something different this time, a remote camping based trek off the beaten track and away from the relatively crowded paths and overstretched teahouses of Annapurna and Everest Base Camp. Manalsu more than met my expectations.

I went solo in low season (Jan) and it was amazing! It was cold at night, but i had the trail and all of the lodges to myself. That's how I like it. If you prefer a more solitary experience, this is the time to do it. Also, blue skies the entire time. I did 12 days that included Poon Hill and Anapurna Base Camp. Ramesh was my guide and he was the best! He really knows his stuff took care of everything. Such a great person too. I had been wanting to do this for 20 years and I was not disappointed. Seriously the trip of a lifetime. This outfit was recommended to me by word-of-mouth, and I'm telling everyone who will listen to come to Nepal and get into the mountains with these guys!

We had a blast going to EBC base camp last september. Me and friends booked our trip via this local travel specialist and they organized the whole trip so well. Guides and porters we also very cheerful and always smiling. We enjoyed the every moment during our trek. We recently did the Langtang Valley trek with this tour operator. Our guide was Mr. Pasang Sherpa, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna, and culture of Nepal. His stories and insights made the trek even more enjoyable. We learned so much about the history of the region and were amazed by his ability to spot rare wildlife along the trail. Mr. Pasang's passion for the mountains and his genuine care for our group made us feel safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trek. We were a pair, that just finished the Gokyo trip. The experience was amazing, and the local operator (Dipak, our guide Bhanu, and all others that helped) did a great job. My girlfriend was worried by altitude sickness, and we had a slow and steady trek, and in the end, we both managed to "climb" to the 5360 m high Gokyo Ri! We are very grateful to our local tour operator for this experience.
The weather was amazing (I really recommend going in mid October), and so were the views of course! The culture, nature, food and overall exercise you will do on this trek are amazing. Moreover, after Namche Bazar, it becomes much less crowded (due to the fact, that hundreds go to see Everest Base Camp), and we really wanted to avoid the crowds. The Gokyo valley is peaceful, serene, and offers breathtaking views on Cho Oyu troughout the trek, and on Sagarmatha (Everest) on several occasions (basically, everytime you "climb" a bit higher).

My bucket list item is now crossed off! The trek itself was incredible. The Manaslu region was diverse in climates (warm, dry valleys - to lush rainforest - to snow capped peaks) and there was a tonne of wildlife to see and experience. Definitely more affordable than other companies but still got the 5 star treatment.
