We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer. The region is rich in flora and fauna particularly birds and butterfly because of its pristine forested surroundings and the great mountain views add an excitement. The experience was just awesome. Thanks to the entire team karma and dikki.

We’ve just returned from a remarkable 12 days in Bhutan and couldn’t recommend it more highly. This is some feedback from Sophie and me.
The whole thing went brilliantly from start to finish. We have some appreciation for the challenges of operating in developing countries, and so very much respect what went into delivering the outstanding service. We were continually delighted. Our expectations were well and truly exceeded.
The core trekking support team of Sam, Norbu, and Sigay was genuinely outstanding. They worked tirelessly and delivered incredible meals and services for us, always with a bright smile. They were 10/10.
The guide, Sonam, was good - capable, organised, calm and helpful. He dealt with the two mini crises extremely well - when one guest had to be evacuated and the 2nd set of ponies was very late. His one area for improvement is his communication. This would be three things: (i) English pronunciation, (ii) in talking to our group, he nearly always directed his gaze and speech to me, the only male in the group, to the exclusion of the women, and (iii) he could be more proactive and forthcoming with information. He will go from 8/10 to 10/10 if he can improve his communication.
There was a small misunderstanding about the tipping. From the WEx materials and common sense, we had assumed the tips would be given at the end of the trip. Sonam asked us for a tip for the first set of horsemen when they finished their work mid-trip, and he indicated that the team tip fund would usually be provided at the start. That didn’t seem consistent with the WEx materials, and we had no way to know how much horsemen should be tipped. Also, the WEx materials say “if” you have a guide or drivers, which is odd given that this trip had both. Our sense from the WEx materials was that there would be two tips: one for the team and one for the guide. We assumed the drivers and horsemen were part of the team. In reality, more than two tips were required, as drivers and horsemen were not considered part of the team. The practice of tipping is foreign to us and sensitive, and WEx would do well to achieve better clarity for all.
The hotels in Paro and Thimpu were both great, and the staff were wonderful.
Thank you again for a truly wonderful adventure. We are already talking about our next one!

This trek offers travellers an unparalleled insight into the rich biodiversity, cultures and customs of Thailand's northern hinterlands. Join us on this remarkable adventure exploring the pristine forests of Thailand's northern hinterlands near the border with Myanmar. Reviving an ancient trade route, the program offers travellers an unparalleled insight into the region's rich biodiversity, cultures and customs. Our journey starts from Khun Khan National Park with its lush jungles and unspoilt forests along the little known Old Elephant Trail. This trek offers travellers an unparalleled insight into the rich biodiversity, cultures and customs of Thailand's northern hinterlands but with the construction of a road in the 1950s, the trail was abandoned. After years of solitude, the trail is now the perfect route for adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike. Traversing over ridgelines and through forest covered hills and mist-enveloped mountains, travellers will trek through some of Thailand's most remote natural areas and be rewarded with sweeping panoramas of lush forests and wildlife-spotting opportunities in the mountains. Evenings on the trek are spent amongst the locals providing an opportunity to learn about traditional culture and a life style unchanged for generations.

The climb to Island Peak in 2017 was a great accomplishment for me. This was a very beautiful adventure arranged by the local operator. I trekked to Everest Base Camp and on the way back, I crossed the Kongmala Pass and went to Island peak from Chukung. The whole package was well organized, the guide was an experienced guy who trekked over 20 years in the Himalayas. I am very thankful to Upendra for arranging this holiday for me.

The trip was perfect! I really recommend it for panish peaple cause you can speak spanish. Kumar was our guide and he is a very nice person! We are very grateful to have him on our trip, he helped us with all we needed!!🙏🏽
The AP mini circuit has to be considered as a viable alternative to the full circuit(which I have not done) - if you have a fortnight and are confident of your trekking abilities, you will get all the thrill of the trek up the Valley and over the 5416m pass , a descent through the incredible Mustang valley on the other side followed by a memorable flight past the AP range back to Pokhara .

The tour was very amazing every day. The place that you meet are very beautiful and are uncontaminated. The local people are kindly and friendly. The trek is moderate and all people with a moderate preparation can do it.
Lobuche East is one of the most famous, beautiful and sought after peaks of the Himalayan region. Standing tall at height of 6,119m, it is 26m higher than the Lobuche Far East peak. From the peak, we see beautiful views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam, among others. This tour is also an opportunity to explore the beautiful Everest region.
Lobuche East is a very challenging, but yet gratifying, peak to climb. To reach our destination, we will first trek along scenic trails experiencing the beauty of nature and centuries old traditions of the people of this region. We will continue the journey from Everest Base Camp from where we will have a splendid view of glaciers and surrounding mountains.
The best time for ascending the peak is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). The peak can also be climbed during winter but the weather will be harsher.

This trek was a perfect choice for a first introduction to the Himalayas and was great for a schedule that included more sightseeing around Nepal. My guide Dipak was very knowledgeable and flexible being able to cater the trip and make changes to improve as we went. He was also accommodating outside of the trek making sure I was taken good care of and had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking to do trekking in Nepal

Our group of three had a wonderful experience despite some weather difficulties. Our guide, Raju, did an amazing job leading us and his company worked the logistical angles well to ultimately get us to Everest Base Camp. It was an incredible experience and great working with this company that I recommend wholeheartedly!

I highly recommend this local travel specialist! We had a wonderful experience. Thinley was very accommodating to our needs- even last minute changes. Our guide, Lhab, was very knowledgeable and he and our drivers were delightful to spend time with. I cannot say enough good things.
Although I wanted something off the beaten path, I worried this route might not be challenging enough. But I instantly realized this would be a worthy adventure with the warmest hospitality.
The trails are generally good, but you should know that the whole trip is generally straight up and down. Make sure you have walking sticks and if youre not used to hiking for several days with a pack you should consider hire a porter to carry your pack.
