This tour felt like a crash course in Southeast Asia, but in a good way. I wasn’t sure how much ground we could realistically cover in just over a week but this trip proved you don’t need a month to experience something meaningful. Everything was well-organized. What stood out most to me was how different Vietnam and Cambodia felt, even though they’re neighbors.
Hanoi was buzzing with life..scooters zipping by, food stalls everywhere, and this mix of modern and old that was fascinating to watch. Our guide helped us navigate the chaos in a way that made it feel approachable rather than overwhelming. Then, just when things felt fast-paced we got a breather on the Ha Long Bay cruise. Being out on the water was peaceful, the views were unreal.
In Cambodia, Angkor Wat was the big draw, and yes, it was absolutely worth it. But what I didn’t expect was how much I enjoyed the in-between moments.
And while there’s always a lot of walking on these kinds of trips, the pace felt doable, even for those of us who aren’t exactly as young as me (53 :p)
Would I do it again? Definitely. The trip left me feeling like I got a true taste of two cultures.
Both David’s were amazing and lovely guides who sincerely cared about a quality experience for our tour party.
Accommodations and meals were great.
Only part that was less than perfect was the airport transfer commutations but it all worked out
The 'Tokyo, Kyoto and Alps' tour invites you to experience the harmony of urban excitement and alpine tranquility over 6 days. Starting and ending in Tokyo, this group sightseeing trip ventures through Ikaho and Nagano, offering a gentle pace ideal for seniors. With accommodations, meals, and transport covered, guests can relax and enjoy the journey. The unique aspect of this trip is its focus on both Japan’s cultural centers and its scenic mountain landscapes in one accessible package.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Highlights of Sri Lanka Tour, booked through Wendy Wu Tours Australia, and delivered through Aitken Spence Travel Services of Columbo, Sri Lanka. The hotels selected for our accommodation were generally of a high standard with good facilities and diligent staff. The restaurants selected for food provision were excellent and generally provided a great selection of Sri Lankan and European style dishes, catering to the diverse needs of our group. The sites visited, provided a great cross section of the best tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, and satisfied our desire to see what this beautiful destination has to offer. The services provided by our tour guide, Harsha Karunaratne, were of the highest standards. Harsha was very professional, diligent and caring, going far beyond reasonable expectations to ensure that each member of our tour group received the best Sri Lankan experience possible. Harsha's team consisting of Kumara (Security and Valet) and Bundoo (Bus Driver and Porter) were just wonderful. Negotiating Sri Lanka's back roads and busy city roads requires skill and attention to safety at all times, and Bundoo pulled it off brilliantly. Kumara made sure all the guests on the tour stayed safe and provided a great sense of fun and community during our travels. Harsha and his team's attention to detail was fantastic and helped make our stay in Sri Lanka exceptional.
Both David and Pablo were incredible guides. They both had extensive knowledge of the places we went to and they also allowed us to explore by ourselves and gave us time to take photos. Very impressive that they can speak english, spanish and japanese. Both our guides had a great sense of humour and knew how to keep the tour group entertained.
Great tour with Aitken Spence for Sri Lanka. We were picked up from the airport by a transfer service wityh our guide, Oscar, too. Very efficient organization, good drivers, bus in excellent condition and kept scrupulously clean throughout our tour. All assistance provided when required. Recommended.
I always wanted to visit india at least once and this Golden Triangle Tour of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur has left me yearning for more. The amazing sights of Old and New Delhi as well as the charm of Agra and the royal splendor of Rajasthan has completely hooked me. Visiting the Taj Mahal was the top highlight of my tour and trust me, you should not miss it, if you come to India.
