I met some of the best characters on this group tour, friends for life and had some of the experiences and memories that will live with me forever. The 65 day tour of South America is fast moving and packs so much in. The CEOs from G are the best and are always there to take care of you and the rest of the group, all you have to do is turn up and enjoy your trip
Rio de Janeiro, Quito, Mancora, Trujillo, Lima, Huacachina, Nazca, Arequipa, Tena, Colca Canyon, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Inca Trail, Puno, Lake Titicaca, La Paz, Sucre, Potosi, Uyuni, Salar De Uyuni, San Pedro De Atacama, Salta, Buenos Aires, Banos, Colonia, Montevideo, Estancia, Iguassu Falls, Paraty, Ilha Grande, Cuenca
The 21 day adventure exceeded my expectations. It provided a wonderful introduction to the history and diversity of Peru’s culture. The hike to Machu Picchu was, in places, challenging but imminently doable. The tour leaders were knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and interesting people.
My desire to participate in another G Adventures tour is driven in large part by the quality of their tour leaders.
Travelling from Lima to La Paz was an experience I will never forget. It was a great way to experience for the most part what the country has to offer including local delicacies, nature/wildlife , culture and soo much more.
Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Llactapata, Dead Woman's Pass, Wiñay Wayna, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Paracas, La Paz, Sucre, Potosi, Uyuni, Salar De Uyuni, Nazca, San Pedro De Atacama, Salta, Buenos Aires, Colonia, Montevideo, Arequipa, Estancia, Iguassu National Park, Iguazu Falls, Paraty, Ilha Grande, Colca Canyon
Really nice experience, I saw a lot things and had many highlights. It was a pitty that our first CEO was not that good and caused some negative vibes in the group. The Lares Trek was cool and no problem at all for me regarding the hike but some people should have not be on the trek because they struggled really hard and we needed to wait really long for them.
Buenos Aires, Lima, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Llactapata, Dead Woman's Pass, Wiñay Wayna, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Ballestas Islands and Paracas National Reserve, La Paz, Sucre, Potosi, Uyuni, Salar De Uyuni, Nazca, San Pedro De Atacama, Salta, Arequipa
I would definitely recommend this trip for those who are seeking adventure! Each day we say different cities and sites (Huacachina Desert, Nazca Lines, Arequipa, Puno/Lake Titicaca, Cusco, Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain), which are totally the experiences. The only downsides of the trip were the overnight bus due to its discomfort of trying to rest as well as the bumpy roads whenever I had to use the toilet on the bus. Also, make sure to bring enough medical supplements with you and buy enough coca supplements (mints, candies, leaves, tea) to adjust to the altitude or any higher elevations! I did get some headaches and dizziness, but that's kinda normal and to be expected.
