We had no idea what Ecuador had in store for us, it honestly wasn’t even at the top of our travel list but glad we booked it. From the moment we landed in Quito, we were hooked. The city is lively and colorful, and even though the altitude made us slow down a bit at first, the views from the top of El Panecillo made up for it.
The Otavalo Market was pure chaos in the best way. I kept telling myself not to buy anything… ended up with a bag full of woven scarves. Zero regrets.
Papallacta was a whole other vibe. The hot springs were exactly what we didn’t know we needed. If the trip had stopped there, I think we’d still be raving about it.
Banos was this hidden gem with waterfalls and fresh air.
The small group made everything more relaxed. No rushing, but no wasting time either. We felt like we got to really be in the places we visited. Everything was organized, we barely had to think. Just showed up, enjoyed, and soaked it all in. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
The travel team designed a solo trip to Buenos Aires and Patagonia for me last year which was outstanding, so when I decided to go to Peru and Machu Picchu, I asked them to design a tour for me again. They provide you with multiple ways to contact them 24/7 while you're traveling, and I had to contact them once in the middle of the night to confirm a pickup time - they responded on What's App within 2 minutes and got the issue sorted immediately. I will use their company for any of my travels to South America - they are local experts, professional, and extremely easy to work with. Highly recommend!

My wife and I took an excellent 6 Day Peru trip organized by Lima Tour. It was a private, hassle-free and enjoyable experience. I contracted the tour to Peru with a travel agency in Mexico, so I cannot comment on prices. What I can comment on is the excellent service of Lima Tours. In all the tours they were punctual, dedicated and with very friendly and educated guides. We almost couldn't do the tour to the 7-color mountain because the day we had to do it, road closures were announced due to carrier blockades. The agency, through our guide MIGUEL ANGEL planned a "madruguete" (literal), they picked us up at 3 in the morning to avoid the blockades and be able to carry out the tour. I must mention that the visit to the mountain was the most anticipated of the entire trip for my wife, so it would have been frustrating if we hadn't made it. In addition, in Cusco I forgot some things at the hotel (including money) and Lima Tours, in coordination with the hotel, sent my forgotten objects to Lima. The Lima Tours agency is highly recommended.
