An Inyanga or a Sangoma is a traditional medicine practitioner or shaman of the Zulu people in South Africa. A Sangoma / Inyanga can communicate with your ancestors, work with plant medicine (herbalism) and use the power of prayer for healing. While most practice all three, you will find others that work solely with one or any combination of these methods. Their training varies depending on family lineage and land location. However, what they all have in common is a calling to serve their families, their communities and the Earth.
The Inyanga / Sangoma stays in the picturesque area of Molweni. There you will have the opportunity to consult with the local Inyanga / Sangoma and have a traditional Zulu experience. The consultation lasts about 45 minutes where he will use traditional methods like throwing the bones to connect with your ancestors and convey the information he receives.
The tour also travels to the Valley of 1000 Hills. Home of PheZulu Cultural and Safari Park. Visitors are taken into traditional beehive shaped thatched huts, where the various artefacts, beliefs and rituals of the Zulu people are explained, giving visitors an insight into the fascinating Zulu culture. The Zulu dancing show (50 minutes) is impressive with the dancers in their traditional garb, showing off their skills with grace, agility and humour.
PheZulu also has a Crocodile and Snake Park where guests will be taken on a tour by a knowledgeable local guide. They will learn interesting facts about crocodiles and snakes and have a hands-on experience with Cleo the Burmese python who weighs in at 42 kilograms
The tour departs from Durban heading northward along the coast to northern KwaZulu-Natal. The first stop is the town of St Lucia and the estuary inside the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park. The protected area is home to one of the largest population of hippopotami in SA, an estimated 1000 crocodiles as well as a wealth of plant, bird and animal life. The park was proclaimed a world heritage site because of the rich biodiversity, unique ecosystems and natural beauty occurring in a relatively small area. Animals occurring in the park include lion, African elephant, leopard, black and southern white rhino, buffalo and in the ocean, whales, dolphins, and marine turtles including the leatherback and loggerhead turtle.
After the boat tour, you will travel to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve. Your experienced guide will show you around the park in search of the diverse wildlife and big 5.
Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve is set in the heart of Zululand where Africa’s Big 5 roam the flourishing savannah. The Park contains an immense diversity of fauna and flora and is characterised by hilly topography. The list of animals at the park is long and varied. Today, the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park is world-renowned for its White Rhino conservation and its Centenary Capture Centre is setting exceptional standards for animal capture and sustainable utilization in Africa.
Your guide will stop at Hilltop Camp restaurant giving you time to refuel and relax. The restaurant is situated at the top of the hill and gives visitors the chance to enjoy the scenery of the camp and surrounding areas. Afterwards, you will continue with your safari before leaving the park for Durban.
This four days and three nights tour takes you to Lake Nakuru National Park and Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The trip will start from Lake Nakuru in Rift Valley where you can view thousands of flamingoes, pelicans and other bird species. Here, you can also encounter the endangered black and white rhinos, lions, warthogs, giraffes and zebras. Gandhi’s house, situated in Inanda township, now stands as a museum dedicated to his 21 years in South Africa. Gandhi himself said South Africa was essential to his personal achievements. The racial oppression he felt during the 21 years he spent in South Africa shaped his future. In 1904 Mahatma Gandhi established a settlement at Phoenix devoted to his principles of Satyagraha [passive resistance] and printed his newspaper, the Indian Opinion was printed.
After Gandhi’s home, the tour will then include a drive through Inanda Township before progressing to Umhlanga Promenade and the pier.

Next to the Victoria Street Market is the Zulu Medicine Market where your guide will take you on an informative tour of “Inyanga (Doctors) lane”. The Zulu Medicine Market is a unique place where Zulu culture has survived in the modern urban environment.
The Moses Mabhida stadium has become a defining feature of the Durban skyline. It has a high-rise platform on top of its arch which is accessible by an elevator called the Sky Car for an additional fee. Your tour guide will show you around the exterior of the stadium and will give you time to go to the sky platform if desired.
The tour also includes a visit to uShaka Marine World’s Village Walk on the famous Golden Mile Beachfront on Durban’s OR Tambo parade. The KwaMuhle Museum was once the headquarters of Durban’s Native Administration Department and the centre of Durban’s harsh system of labour control. Now it has been transformed into Durban’s Apartheid Museum that seeks to reflect Durban’s urban growth and the history of its residents.

This tour takes you into the Northern part of KwaZulu Natal where you will visit the famous battle sites of Isandlwana, Rorke’s Drift and Fugitives Drift.
Anglo Zulu Wars took place at these sites on 22 January 1979. There you will see the graves of some of those who fought in the war. You will also see two of the most famous battles between the Zulu Impi's and British armies.
During the tour you will have the opportunity to see some of the most spectacular scenery in KwaZulu Natal.
The tour includes transport, tour guide, all entry fees and it excludes food and drinks.
We will pick you up at 6:30am from Durban, and drop you off after we complete the tour.
The tour starts at 06:30 am when we pick you up from Durban to take you to Pietermaritzburg, the capital of KwaZulu-Natal.
Here you will have the opportunity to see the Mahatma Ghandi statue. After passing Pietermaritzburg you can choose between two places that we visit.
The first option is visiting Giant's Castle Nature Reserve which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in which you will embark on a 40 minute walk to the main caves which has exhibits of San Rock Art.
The second option includes the Bushman Pock paintings found in Kamberg, situated on the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains. This optional tour is more strenuous than the Giant's Castle as you will embark on a 90 minute walk to the site and a 90 minute walk back.
The tour ends with a drive through the Midlands Meander where you will be able to enjoy and purchase a variety of products grown or manufactured by local farmers, a stop at the Mandela Capture Site Monument and finally ending at the Howick Falls before returning back to Durban.

Emdoneni Cat Project offers a guided tour of South Africa's endangered wild cat species. The aim of the Emdoneni Cat Project is to care for cheetahs, serval cats, African wildcats and caracal (lynx), which have been orphaned or injured in the wild and need care and rehabilitation.

Pick Up
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, Giza or Cairo International Airport then drive the downtown of Cairo where is The Egyptian Museum.
Visit the Egyptian Museum
You will start the tour by visiting the world- famous Egyptian Museum. The museum, spanning two floors, houses a vast 120,000 masterpieces from different eras and periods in Egyptian history. The most popular exhibits are that of treasures relating to the Pharaonic kings and queens, such as the child king Tutankhamen and the room of mummies. In the latter, visitors can learn more about mummification art in ancient Egypt.
Discover the Nile by Felucca " Optional "
After your visit to the Egyptian museum, you will have the chance to relax and float on a Felucca (small motor boat) on a trip along the longest river in the world. Here you can take time to absorb the panoramic views of the city in the summer breeze.
Stop for Lunch
Next we will take a break to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in a restaurant with wonderful views of the Nile. Drinks are not included.
Visit Pyramids & Sphinx
After lunch, we will cross the Nile and travel to Giza to the ancient pyramids, constructed in around 2560 BC. Renowned as one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, it will be hard not to stare in amazement on your arrival at the pyramids and ask: ‘How were they built? And why?’ Don’t worry – all of our guides are qualified Egyptologists and will be happy to guide you and answer all of your questions. There will be the option at this point in the tour to go inside one of the three ancient pyramids.
After that we will walk down to the edge of the plateau to King Kafra Valley where you can take your first glimpse of the Great Sphinx and its temple. The Great Sphinx of Giza is a mythological creature, formed of a human head and the body of a lion which standing at over 20 meters high 73 metres long is a magnificent sight to behold.
Shopping
Our final stop of about one hour will be for shopping. Here you will have the chance to buy authentic and traditional Egyptian souvenirs and gifts produced by local craftspeople. We will spend time at the Papyrus Institute, where you will be given a demonstration on how this famous paper is made and where you will also have the chance to purchase papyrus art. We will also visit a perfume shop, where you can shop for Arabian scents and beautifully decorated perfume bottles.
Drive Back
At the end of the day our guide will transfer you back to your hotel or to the airport to catch your flight.
