He explained to us all the pros and cons and how to get the most out of the Inca Trail. The porters were great. The chef - Julio - made the best camp meals for vegetarians. This tour hit all the right notes for us. We wanted something that showed us different parts of Thailand without being too intense or expensive. The days were full but never overwhelming. We saw big landmarks like the Grand Palace and White Temple but also had time for small experiences, like sipping coffee at a local cafe in Chiang Mai or watching the sunset from the beach in Phuket. The flights between cities made travel easy and we were always met on time. Having a guide in each place helped us understand the history and customs better and they answered every question we had. We’re not “tour people,” usually, but this one made things simple. It was structured but with enough flexibility. If you’re thinking about Thailand and want a little adventure without the stress of planning I’d definitely recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed this comprehensive tour of Vietnam. Including time in more rural areas as well as the well known cities and sites, it gave us a great insight into local culture and there was plenty of opportunity to meet the locals who were incredibly friendly. The trip ran seemlesly in the extremely capable hands of our tour leader Diem, one of the best we've had (this was our 6th family holiday with Explore). Highlights would include all of the bike rides, exploring Tam Coc caves by boat, Saigon by cyclo, the amazing food, so fresh and plentiful, and the kids loved haggling for bargains in the markets and shops (especially Hoi An). Accommodation and transport were both of a great standard. Well done Explore!

This was an excellent trip! We enjoyed living on the gulet, Admiral, and biking mountainous roads along the coast. The scenery was spectacular, our guide was excellent ( managing the logistics and safety of the bike riding and talking about Turkish history and the sites), and the food was amazing! Our trip was in mid October so the weather was very comfortable.

Trip could not have been better great crew and the chef was amazing the variety and quality of our meals on board were superb. Our cycling guide was knowledgeable, helpful and fit in as one of the group. Our cabin was spacious and clean. The boat was well kept and very comfortable. The island destinations were well chosen for both scenery and cycling. This was our fifth cycling holiday and second boat and bike tour I couldn’t recommend this trip more highly.

Arrangements were all in order and hotel /restaurant choices were excellent and as described. The app works well (with the minor caveat that the details of the map disappear when you zoom in too close and when you go off track). We loved our walk on Costa Brava, because we could just focus on walking a truly gorgeous coast without any logistical worry.

They organised my trip to France to walk the GR70 Stevenson's Way, which I completed in August. I booked 9 months in advance, which I recommend to ensure availability of accommodation in some remote areas of France. Communication with the team was excellent and the staff were very helpful. About two weeks before departure I received a pre-trip information pack. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and quality of the information provided which included details of accommodation, baggage transfers and a detailed day by day route guide. All this was available to print and save to my phone. Another great feature was gpx files for use with free app. This proved surprisingly easy to use and the voice guidance and audible off-route warnings were particularly helpful. The trip itself was extremely well organised. I enjoyed the variety of food and accommodation and experienced only one check-in problem which they quickly resolved after I called their emergency contact number. I had a great trip and would highly recommend this company if you are planning a walking trip.
