Thanks to Sergio, we had the best time on this trip. Jam packed but still found time to do what we wanted to achieve. Had a blast. Would totally recommend to people. ROAMIES is a great idea.
This trip provides the opportunity to walk a beautiful long distance path, led with skill and charm and with excellent accommodation along the way. I had a wonderful experience.
Start your day with a 6:30AM pickup from your Nairobi hotel. Head over to the Nairobi National Park, the most accessible of all of Kenya's parks. See the rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo, and 450 species of birds as you tour.
Next stop is the world famous David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage from 11:00AM – 12:00PM to meet a herd of baby elephants and learn about the work done to rescue them from poachers. The orphanage successfully raises milk-dependent baby elephant and rhino orphans. During your hour there, the baby elephants will be brought out to play and feed as you watch them from behind a rope.
You will then be driven to the Giraffe Center to get up close and personal with Rothschild giraffes, Africa's tallest mammals. Here you will ascend up to an observation platform where you can meet giraffes at their eye level. Pet, stroke, scratch and feed them, and if you are brave you can even kiss them.
After the morning excitement, we visit Karen Blixen Coffee Garden for a delicious lunch of international standard. Relax in the shady garden and enjoy a selection of high-quality international cuisine.
After lunch you will be dropped off to your Nairobi Hotel.
The tour was great to get an overview of the country, very well organized , bus driver was fantastic, hotel were good with good breakfast. The oco lodge was the nicest place to stay. More time in Fez would be great, sadly there was no spare time to explore. The gorge walk was a bit more difficult than explained and it should probably say that older people might struggle as there was no path and we were hiking over slippery and steep terrain, having to step over rocks. I think we were all a bit surprised by the difficulty of the walk. But the local guide there was fabulous and meeting a berber family was very nice experience. I would stop the trips to the overpriced tourist shops and production areas with sometimes aggressive selling and rather visit small businesses the Moroccan people use. We requested to stop at a seller by the road which was a great experience and a fraction of the price. The local guides were fabulous, full of enthusiasm and giving plenty of info on the walks and beyond ,making it very interesting . Sadly that can't be said about the explore Tourguide. I never had a Tourguide with such little enthusiasm and interest in the guests. He only spoke minimum, didn't give much info about Morocco, didn't stay with the meals when taking us to his place of choice (sadly often full of tourists with moderate food, small private places provided much better food and half the price) Instead he wondered off to see friends. Orientation walks were just rushing with no photo stop and not much guidance , no maps were handed out like on other tours. When I asked what museum to see in Marrakesh the answer was to check Google. That's disappointing. We considered to see the Louis Vuitton garden but needed booking in advance and was sold out by the time we arrived. This is something the guide should have told us and organized. I also never had a tour where the guide leaves early. The tour was till 20.10 but he left 2 days earlier
on the 18.10 for another tour. He put us into a taxi after dinner but couldn't be bothered to take us to the hotel just said goodbye. I have been on several tours and know that was an exception but one lady was first time with explore and very disappointed.
Fast and concise answers anytime we needed some infos. Gody was super great. We recommand local tour operator for your trip to kilimandjaro. They take care of everything(airport pickup, accommodation 1st and Last day in a Great hotel in moshi, kilimanjaro climbing, Hospital checkup in case of and a gift at the end of journey). Thanks you so much.
I had a great time on this trek and Raj was an incredible guide with great communication throughout. His hospitality, and flexibility were incredibly welcomed and the trek was fairly challenging for one of the more 'moderate' hikes. Loved the experience and could not be happier!
The Austrian Lakes area offers a glorious mix of spectacular views, forest trails, picture-perfect villages and swimming opportunities galore! The walks are relaxed, following mainly well-marked routes, with stunning lake views every day. Every stop brings new discoveries such as St Wolfgang's antique cog railway, the summit of Schafberg and Mozart's museum in St. Gilgen.
Arrangements were all in order and hotel /restaurant choices were excellent and as described. The app works well (with the minor caveat that the details of the map disappear when you zoom in too close and when you go off track). We loved our walk on Costa Brava, because we could just focus on walking a truly gorgeous coast without any logistical worry.
Uncover Costa Rica during this eight-day exotic self-drive adventure. Beginning and ending in the capital, San Jose, this tour offers you the chance to discover different aspects of this emblematic destination. Spend precious time visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most stunning conservation areas on the planet.
