Just returned from the Jordanian Discovery tour. The itinerary was excellent and covered the main sites plus a couple of extras thrown in by tour leader Abdallah. He was a fantastic tour guide. Kind, knowledgeable, well travelled, great communicator and great sense of humour. If you are lucky enough to have him as your guide you’ll be in great hands. I can see why he was voted Explore’s tour guide for 2025. Anyone thinking that Jordan isn’t a safe place to travel would be wrong in thinking that. Sadly Jordan has lost 80% of their tourist trade so they really need people to visit. The local people are really friendly and Petra main site was quiet compared to how it used to be, so it’s good for anyone visiting but not for the Jordanian economy sadly. I met some lovely people in the group and as I said before, Abdallah was by far the best tour guide I’ve had. Get out there and visit Jordan if you’re still deciding what to do!

Amazing tour. I can’t believe all the animals we saw… and how close our guide was able to get. KK, our leader, just made the tour with his skills and the care with which he did his job. Lots of great food, and great accommodation, even the bush camping! The team is great and I’ll definitely travel with Explore again.

It was great...the tour guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Saw a lot of sights and would highly recommend. The hotels were wonderful, especially the Crown Plaza in Rome. The only negative was the dinner at the Florence hotel....very disappointing and tasted like cafeteria food.

The Trip was fantastic. We had an exceptional guide. He was knowledgeable, attentive and fun. So many wonderful experiences. Loved it all. The Occidental Hotel in Paris; our room was Very stuffy and absolutely stank of stale suitcases. It was nauseating to walk into room. The bath filled with water when showering. Did not replenish fresh water daily. The air con didn't work. If the bus had a drink bracket and weave basket to place books etc in it would help. Would highly recommend this trip. I loved it. This is a great tour. We especially had the best Trafalgar employees ever with Osama and Mohammed. They made this trip amazing! A few things to be prepared for. You’ll move between a couple hotels and also have two quick plane rides during your trip. Local vendors will try to get you to buy their stuff at every stop, but a quick “no” and they will leave you alone. It’s very similar to the Caribbean islands in that regard. This is definitely a bucket list trip. You’re moving around a lot but I also feel they left plenty of downtime to relax. The pyramids, temples, and Nile River cruise are all unbelievable. It’s hard to believe you’re looking at ancient monuments that are 3-5,000 years old and still standing. It’s a beautiful place. The meals they provided were always really good too.

Well researched itinerary with interesting options; covered a lot of ground and got to see a number of things on the wishlist. You do spend time in the bus as expected, but it is comfortable, with regular stops.
