A wonderful tour of the main sights of Sicily (and there are a lot!). It's an amazing place to visit. Hotels really well located. Antonio is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, coupled with huge enthusiasm and great organisational skills. Perfect choices of restaurants for group meals. We have travelled with Explore for many years and all tour leaders have been excellent, but he is certainly one of the best we have ever had. It's a particular bonus that he is the tour guide everywhere as well as the tour leader.

They keep you hopping. Such a great way to see a lot of sights. Do not expect a lot of relaxation if that’s what you’re after. You can opt out of activities but you’d miss amazing things. Great way to see a lot and then decide what’s your favorite to go back to. Guide is knowledgeable and friendly. They keep him busy as well. You get an opportunity to meet great people too, overall amazing experience!

It is very fast paced. There is a lot of walking, stairs and it is at times exhausting. But, you get to see so much. Also, there is quite a bit of bus time. So wear your compression socks. The payoff is that you get to see a lot. Someone else takes care of driving, accommodations and tickets. You are not one of those poor souls that you see dragging a suitcase on a cobblestone street. Trafalgar takes very good care of you. Also, if I could give any advice, it would be to leave time for yourself. Don’t try to do an excursion every day. Leave yourself some breathing room. It’s ok to be tired. Make sure and bring some candy or cough drops for the bus rides. The air gets a little dry. And a face mask and hand sanitizer. Just in case of sniffles. Take it easy and enjoy!

The itinerary was comprehensive which meant we had a fairly brisk pace, but it never felt rushed. We were very glad that we opted to join the optional extra experiences, so would suggest to anyone considering this tour to budget for this as they really added to our overall experience. Our tour director was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. The coach drivers also deserve special mention. Very skilled.

I still am in awe of all that I saw and experienced in only 10 days. Everything I wanted to see and do in Italy was included in the itinerary. And even though I was certainly busy, I never felt rushed. I especially appreciated all the history that our amazing tour director (Margaret Stefanski) shared with us as we traveled in our coach to each destination.

Overall tour was excellent including quality of accommodation, meals along with the Optional Experiences. Our Tour Director Brek made the tour exceptional with his incredible knowledge, excellent communication skills, great sense of humour along with his impeccable mannerism. It could be mentioned that a couple of the long days might hopefully be adjusted....Vienna to Venice where we travelled 607 klms as well as Nice to Beaune 560ks.
