Fine wines, delicious cuisine, unique art and architecture, breathtaking scenery, and 900 years of history make Porto one of the finest cities in Europe. Foodies flock to the Mercado do Bolhão for local delicacies like sardines and alheira. Art and architecture lovers vibe with the São Roque Gardens, which features a restored historic mansion and spectacular art collection on its extensive grounds. For an incredible view of the city, climb the 225 steps of the Clerígos Tower. Porto indeed packs a punch despite its humble size, making it a popular destination for a short trip from Lisbon. Amazing tour, our guide Sonia was fantastic. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and enjoyed the itinerary. The hotels were all very luxurious, except for the one in Lousã, other than that the whole tour I would highly recommend. You get a great tour of Portugal, a beautiful country. We enjoyed the local tours, saw many interesting sites. The highlight was the picnic in the Douro Valley.

Our guide, Pablo, was outstanding! As was our driver and lunch maker extraordinaire, Bill. Pablo was supportive, concise in his explanations of what to expect each day while cycling. He has a fun sense of humor and a positive attitude. In addition to all of that, he is so very interesting. Bill is kind, humorous and a fabulous "cook", making excellent picnics for us. The cycling itself was just right for each day.

This is a really enjoyable cycle from Porto to Lisbon. The towns that you stay in a very pretty in the hotel accommodation is very good. There are a few bigger hills but for the most part it's very flat. I'll totally the Pablo I was absolutely excellent. Overall was very pleased with this trip and happily do it again.

It is a great overview and active itinerary in little bits of time in many areas. Gives one a great perspective of areas and where one may want to return and spend more time. Do not plan on lazy days of relaxing on beach or hotel

Great trip. Great guide. The first couple days always seems to be information overload. Not sure what the solution is as I understand there’s a lot of information to pass along and information on the excursions but it just seems to be overwhelming. We could have used some help after we were dropped off at the Lisbon airport. We were not sure where to go once we got inside and had to ask several times for help. Having someone from Insight vacation’s. located inside the airport would be very helpful
