A unique blend of nature, animals, and culture...🐘🦣🦁🐆😱🫣

Every moment of our nine day safari was like a dream! In Tarangire and Serengeti, I saw amazing animals - from elephants🦣, lions🦁, and cheetahs🐆 to thousands of migrating wildebeest. When I reached the quiet beaches of Zanzibar, I felt like I was in another world. The forest and the sea - both forms are beautifully combined in this package. The team at Northern Masailand Safaris is exceptionally professional, and our guides were knowledgeable and courteous.☁️🌾🌿🌺🔥⛅

Excellent

It was a challenging trip with all the long driving days just to set up camp and pack up the next morning to do more driving. I guess I didn’t realize how draining it would actually be . But overall , the activities made it a good experience and I will be happy to use G adventures again in the future

Excellent

It was the trip of a lifetime. I had an amazing time. It was everything I expected from a bucket list trip and more! Moses and the camping staff were SO good. It was fun. The song they did at the end was epic! I really felt immersed in their culture. The food on the camping trip was so good.

Excellent

This was a great trip, full of new experiences and great sights. The diverse itinerary was a key highlight - ranging from cities/towns, safari and island/beach at the end. Wild camping in the Serengeti was amazing !! It was also great to travel with people from a wide range of countries and backgrounds, this only added to the great experience.

Incredible Wildlife and Luxury

The four day private wilderness adventure was fantastic. We saw lions, elephants and giraffes in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Accommodation was top notch. A special thanks to Cecy for organizing this unforgettable trip!

Excellent Service and Personalized Attention

Our 9-day journey exceeded all expectations. Henry’s personal touch in organizing the itinerary and the expertise of our guide, Focus, made us feel truly cared for. The safari vehicles were comfortable, and the meals provided were delicious. From the game drives to Zanzibar’s Spice Farm tour, every moment was enriching. The staff’s dedication to creating a seamless experience was evident throughout, and we are already planning our next adventure with them.

Zanzibar - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

A trip to Zanzibar will open your senses to idyllic sand beaches filled with palm trees, the rich aromatic air of the spice markets, and a chilled atmosphere to take things pole – meaning slowly in Swahili. Plan a holiday to Zanzibar to take advantage of its warm tropical waters for an underwater adventure, curvy alleys to witness unique architecture representing its culture, or be lost in the jungles to catch sight of Red Colobus Monkeys, one of the rarest primates in Africa. There isn’t a single moment to lose!

Tour Highlights

  • Eat some of East Africa’s best street food at the Forodhani Gardens after sunset
  • Get lost in the winding streets of Stone Town, Zanzibar’s cultural and historic centre
  • Explore the coral reefs of the Indian Ocean
  • Take a trip to Prison Island (also called Changuu Island) to visit the giant tortoises
  • Tour a spice farm and indulge in the rich scents of everything from lemongrass to chilli

Travel Tips

  • While Zanzibar is the name of the country, it is also the name of one of the country’s smaller (uninhabited) islands. Chances are you will spend most of your time on Unguja, the biggest island in the Zanzibar archipelago.
  • Get ready to eat some of the spiciest food in the world! Popular as “the spice island”, Zanzibar was a spice plantation in the 18th century and continues to heavily flavour its dishes.
  • Think you know how to tell time? Think again. Zanzibar operates on Swahili time, which begins to be counted as the sun rises. This means that the 7:00 am you’re used to is in fact, 1:00am in Zanzibar (as the sun typically rises at 6:00am), and so on.
  • Speaking of time, those in Zanzibar like to take things pole pole - the Swahili term for slow. Relax, don’t rush, and do as the locals do.
  • Tea drinking is a way of life in Zanzibar. Be sure to try ginger chai (tangawizi), best if purchased from a roadside tea stand.
