Reviews of our Vilnius Tours for September
Feedback from guests whose tour started in/around Vilnius during September.
A packed tour which successfully combined cycling through some beautiful forests and seaside towns with walking visits to the three capitals. Tour leader was knowledgeable and keen to share insights.
I didn't know quite what to expect on this tour of The Baltics but it was a truly memorable trip. A huge thankyou goes to our guide, Simona, who went above and beyond any ordinary guide duties. She delved into the history of each country with joy and enthusiasm. She looked after us always ensuring that we were safe and knew exactly what we were doing. Our accommodation was excellent throughout and the pace of the tour was just right. This tour comes highly recomeended.
A thorough and fast paced tour of the three Baltic countries, with a varied itinerary and lots of time in the wonderful cities. Excellent city tours throughout and a perfect guide. Loved it!
Fascinating trip through interesting cities and countryside in the Baltics, led by the brilliant Lina. I was surprised to read recent negative reviews of this tour as it certainly didn’t match our experience. We were lucky to have a great group that really gelled and we all thought Lina was a brilliant leader. It is more of a cruising sight seeing tour then a full on cycling trip, the cycling is incidental on some days and the bikes are heavy shopping type bikes, but the terrain is generally flat and the riding is easy. The hotels were fine, though towels in the in Baltics are very thin and cheap and the trip would perhaps benefit from a non cycling day in the middle with a free afternoon to allow time for laundry and chilling.
Dziugas is a most excellent guide, sharing the history of the different countries and making it come alive. His lived history and extensive experience added much to this trip. Explore generally has a nice itinerary and balances cost and comfort in a way that suits me. There are usually an assortment of nationalities on their trips, which adds to the experience for me.
Great trip. All the destinations were worth visiting. The countries are fascinating and different from each other. Generally well paced with the exception of one day with a long bus ride followed by bicycling that felt a little too rushed. Great accommodations.
