A lovely trip exploring three very different capital cities plus an overnight in a most unusual manor house! Our guide Simona was excellent, totally organised, VERY knowledgeable, would definitely recommend this trip which could be undertaken at any time of year.

This was an excellent tour, my first with Explore. The itinerary was a good mix of cycling (varying between 15 and 50km pd) and sightseeing (both guided and free time) in both the major cities and some beautiful national parks etc, and the three long transfers were not at all onerous with well chosen stops for coffees/lunch. Egle was an excellent, humorous and very knowledgeable guide who kept us to schedule but was also flexible when needed to accommodate the (11 - strong) group’s wishes and the variable weather. The hotel accommodations were all very good, with Palmse manor a stand out in terms of its beautiful location and grounds even if the rooms were a bit more basic. The bikes were comfortable and good quality and no-one had any real mechanical problems.

A very interesting group of capital cities. The tour also showed us a glimpse of the other important towns on the Baltic coast and how they developed via the Hanseatic league, The guide Simona was excellent with a clear love of the area and an amazing wealth of knowledge.

Linus was so much more than our tour leader. He brought the history of Lithuania alive with his personal experience during the Soviet Era and his expert knowledge of all three Baltic States past history , even showing a video of the Hand Of Friendship which I didn't know about. He is an absolute professional and I left with a real sense of what these countries have faced in the past and what they have become today. The cycling was interesting although I found the bikes quite heavy compared to what I am used to . I loved going through the forests and coastal areas. Linus kept everything moving smoothly with stops for water and catch up. He always gave us such well informed walks in each city. For me , the trip would not have been the same without Linus. He is an exceptional guide , historian and bike leader . Thank you again Linus for everything you brought and gave to our group . You made it an unforgetable experience Margaret

Excellent trip!

I just came back a couple days ago from my 5th bike trip ever-- this was an excellent one! It's mostly flat, so the biking wasn't that hard, but hard enough that I felt I got a great workout every day. Our leader, Lina, was absolutely superb in every way. She organized us and kept track of us beautifully, calmed the waters during stressful situations (our bus broke down on the highway! But we got a new one ASAP), chose FANTASTIC restaurants for us, and told us volumes worth of history in a captivating way. These countries are fascinating, beautiful, quirky, with delicious food, great beaches, stunning architecture, excellent biking paths (it was never scary!), and perfect weather for us (August). Highly recommend!

Having a blast in the Baltics

A wonderful cycle through some of the best parts of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania averaging about 35-40 km a day. It takes in the cultural highlights of the three Baltic states including some stunning scenery, forest trails and four swimming opportunities in the sea and a lake. The trip was made truly memorable by our awesome guide Lina, who combined being an excellent cycling leader with her 'en-cyclo-paedic' knowledge of the history and culture of all the places we visited. She also shared her own experience of life in Soviet-era Lithuania including facing the Russian tanks after independence was declared in 1990. The trip was made extra-special by traveling with such a great group of like-minded people, making it all my best Exodus trip so far. Highly recommended!
