Reviews of our Trogir Tours for July
Feedback from guests whose tour started in/around Trogir during July.
This was one of the best holidays I’ve ever taken. It was invigorating to wake up, travel by boat, arrive on the island and bike for several hours. I will be returning next year for another boat and bike trip.
A fantastic way to explore the Northern Dalmatian Coastline without the hassle of driving. The trip offered a good balance between cycling, swimming and city tours. The bikes were more than adequate, you do not need to take a helmet - they are available locally. Most people hired the E-bikes. All the tour guides spoke fluent English and were supportive throughout. I loved this trip!
Identifying the specific thing that makes this trip memorable is impossible. Croatia's vibe is uniquely its own. The country and it's people are welcoming, cosmopolitan, small town warmth, pragmatic and joyful all at once. There's was not a single second that was disappointing. The small group focus of the tour allowed for connecting with other tour members which enhanced the experience. Visiting small local businesses like the winery in Ston and Lumbarda felt like we were being welcomed into their homes. Our tour leader was the amazing Vajna! If you are blessed to have her as your guide rest assured you are in fantastic hands, she is thoughtful, full of knowledge and I simply cannot say enough about Vajna or this trip! I've been home for a week and have not stopped smiling.
You start this trip in Trogir, a 10 minute bus ride from Split airport, and no matter what time you arrive on the first day you are sure to recieve a warm welcome! The accommodation throughout the trip is excellent. Staying mainly in small family run hotels/ b&bs but a larger hotel chain in Lapad Bay in Dubrovnik. Vanja our tour leader was exceptional. She made she we were all clear on the itinerary and had us all organised for the transfers and group activities. There's a great mix of organised fun, and time to explore or relax as desired. Everywhere you go in Croatia there seems to be another incredible view or piece of history . Throughly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to explore Croatia. My top tips: take cash, and quite a lot of it! No-where really takes card so we all had a dash to ATMs which charge around 5 euros a time. If you're planning on walking up Montokuc ( which is optional) take sturdy walking shoes and poles will be helpful. Get the 3 day dubrovnik pass! Saves you a fortune in dubrovnik and it'll save you a lot of time getting the bus ( included in the pass) between the hotel and the old town.
I've been on a number of Exodus trips and this one did not disappoint. An excellent varied trip with a really good group of fellow travellers who gelled well and were lead by great group leader.
The trip starts in Trogir for one night and then moves to Korcula Island for 3 nights. On Korcula, the visit includes a visit to the medieval walled town of Korcula (day 1), a walk from Pupnat to Korcula(day 2) , and a boat trip to Mljet Island with a walk to the peak of Montokuc (day 3), Following this, we returned to the mainland by ferry and stopped at Ston on the way to Dubrovnik. In Ston, we had a wine tasting tour. The second day in Dubrovnik, we visited the old town inside the city walls. On the last day, we took the optional trip to Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina to see the rebuilt bridge, destroyed in 1993.
