This is an excellent tour of Norway, which is a scenic country. Trafalgar tours are well organized and the hotels are good quality. The tour director was knowledgeable and overall I enjoyed the experience

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The trip on the fjords was breathtaking. They cover so many little unique spots of interest. Really enjoyed having the hotel accommodations in the center of the city. This allowed you to explore more easily on your own. All meals provided were great!

This was a lovely tour. We were on the move and going throughout the day, and each day, and saw the most amazing sights and ate the most incredible foods! Highly recommend this tour, and especially if you get as your guide!!❤️ Her shoes, yall!!!! 😍

Comprehensive, interesting series of locations visited. Moderate amount of daily walking required. Tight complete schedule with limited time for relaxation (but optional participation allows for freedom of choice). Enjoyed the International list of participants. Various modes of daily travel (bus, train rides, boat trips, & “old town” walking, subways, aerial trams, observation points) a definite plus.

Perfect solution for first-time travellers to Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) who have limited time to plan/book the trip like ourselves. The itinerary is quite comprehensive of the must-see items, especially if you include all the optional items (which you’ll choose and pay during the tour). We skipped some of the optional items to do our own thing, which is a great flexibilty provided by the tour! This allowed us to visit attractions that the tour only drove-by e.g. swam in the canal of Copenhagen and spent half a day in the Abba Museum

What a wonderful trip!! Our tour director was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and charismatic! Our driver was professional and courteous. The scenery was breathtaking! Our guide explained every excursion in detail. For those who didn’t do the excursions he provided multiple options of things to do and see. I would highly recommend this trip.

Stockholm - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Travel Highlights

  • The Skansen open-air museum is a microcosm of Swedish living. With 150 buildings dotted along a Djurgårdsvägen hilltop, visitors can see everything from period costumes, zoo animals, glassblowing, a working bakery, an old pharmacy and much more. Skansen gives you a complete example of how Swedes have lived for hundreds of years.
  • Wander through the old town of Gamla Stan. Home to the old aristocracy, the Royal Palace, the Nobel museum and much more. You can spend hours traipsing along the cobbled streets of the quaint and beautiful historic center.
  • Enjoy Stockholm’s famed nightlife in the area of Strueplan.
  • Tour the National Museum and see works by Rembrandt, Rubens, Goya, Renoir, Degas, and Gauguin. Don’t forget the Swedish artists Carl Larsson, Ernst Josephson, C.F. Hill and Anders Zorn.
  • If you’re taking your significant other to Stockholm, walk along the Monteliusvägen path at sunset. It’s a super romantic way to see Lake Mälaren.

Travel Tips

  • Grab a Stockholm Card as soon as you arrive. It grants you free public transport and free entry to almost all of the city’s attractions.
  • Alcohol can be expensive in Stockholm, but beer is always cheap.
  • The metro is open throughout the night and is always a cheaper option than a taxi.
  • Using the city bike is a great way to get around and see the sights at the same time.
  • The Medieval Museum under the Royal Palace is one of the best museums to visit.
