Singapore Tours and Trips

Humid but great, plenty of variety in activities and a good balance of organised events and free time. A wonderful group. Tour leader Joey was great and invited us to all eat together every night at local affordable places.

This was a very interesting tour that included cities, temples, historical homes, a tropical island, and tremendous food experiences. Our tour leader, Joey, was awesome. He displayed a genuine love of Malaysia and shared a ton of local knowledge, history and stories. He always had a lot of suggestions for how to fill the free exploring time in each location. He made this trip better by adding activities and local food and coffee stops. This was to make sure we had the opportunity to experience local fruit and other Malaysian snacks and desserts. The most memorable stop was at a Durian fruit stand which allowed us to experience this very expensive and stinky fruit. The accommodations were as expected for our price level and were fine. Staying with a Malaysian family at a homestay was a very good experience. Even though I had a rough night’s sleep in a non air conditioned cabin, I had never slept under mosquito netting. I really enjoyed Langkawi as it provided the true tropical island experience and the opportunity to swim in very warm ocean water. I would recommend this trip for any foodie who is looking forward to delicious southeast food and some very interesting food experiences.

This trip, was busy and varied made into an immersive narrative experience by our tour leader Sam. He balances erudition with such genuine warmth. His friendly, caring demeanour and fluency made communication effortless and enjoyable. He is undeniably an exceptional ambassador for his country and an enormous asset to Explore! I have partaken in 4 Explore trips but a while ago, but drifted to other companies as neither impressed with the organisation of the guides, bug in the merit of this one havd just booked another! Sam has set the bar high and look forward to meeting another leader of similar calibre on my upcoming journey. If time allows, have a few extra nights both in Singapore and Lankawi, lots to do and if solo travelling, both extremely safe!

I had the most amazing trip on the Bangkok to Singapore adventure. Our tour guide was great, the accommodations were amazing (floating bungalows were my favorite), and the schedule was perfect. This trip would be good for anybody who is traveling for the first time or 100th time (this was my first time traveling solo and my first time visiting Asia). Most of the people on the trip booked a few extra nights in Singapore so the trip felt a little longer than it officially was. The pacing is perfect (it is go-go-go, but in a perfect way) and most of us slept on the transit. I definitely recommend the add on activity for the sunset cruise in Krabi, the entire group went on it and it was one of the top moments for me and many others on the trip. This was my first Contiki, I had booked with a different tour group in the past but definitely prefer Contiki as it was very organized and we knew what to expect but also extremely fun. There was a great mix of included activities and free time. I definitely feel like I got really good bang for my buck too. I’m already itching for my next trip.

The holiday started in Singapore where we had an excellent most professional guide. Serin? - Gave us a full first morning covering the sights within walking distance. Our explore tour guide Sam was also excellent. He looked after the group answering questions and advising what to do where to eat in our free time. We had a lovely bus driver Ali in a very comfortable air conditioned coach. As per the itinerary there is a fair bit of travelling often the day starting around 8.00 / 8.30am. All hotels were clean and functional. Some breakfasts more suited to Asian tastes, we did however always have an option of a freshly cooked omelette. Langkawi rooms could do with being refurbished. Overall we throughly enjoyed the holiday.

Brilliant unique trip where every destination was a new adventure. Booked flights, extra night and airport transfer with Explore which all ran smoothly. Prefer the revised itinerary as there is so much to see and do in Singapore so need at least the extra day there. Serene our guide was excellent in introducing us to the history, culture and foods of Singapore, packed in very efficiently. This continued in Malaysia with Sam our leader, he is so passionate and knowledgeable about his country and such a lovely personable chap who really looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Along with our lovely driver Mr Ali who drove us safely and comfortably around. Really enjoyed the homestay where the hosts were so welcoming, it was basic as expected but the experience was brilliant. Accommodation varied but was in good locations for ease of getting around especially when out independently. We did all the optional trips in Langkawi which left little beach time which did not bother us as we prefer to sightsee but consider booking an extra night as it is so beautiful and relaxing.
