This trip was an amazing way to see Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia. There were two full day hikes, one to base Torres and one to base Mt Fitzroy. Both hikes were about 15 miles round trip with 3000 to 4000 feet of elevation gain. Be prepared for these two full days of hiking. However, some of the group was able to hike faster while some could hike slower as there were three guides on each hike. The trip manager and guides were all friendly and helpful making for an enjoyable experience. Other activities included glacier viewing via boat, kayaking, and horseback riding which made for a well rounded trip. The weather is unpredictable so make sure you’re prepared for wind, rain, snow and sun possibly all in one day. This was the most active Contiki I have been apart of, and was a perfect change of pace from the usual city focused Contiki's. I highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to be in nature, experience Chilean and Argentinian culture, and have an active week.

Many aspects of this trip were most enjoyable, and Luciano, our guide, went out of his way to ensure we had a positive experience. Most of the accommodation was good, but Explore should find another option in Santiago. The Fundador in Santiago is a bit 'tired'. Also, there should be alternative activities in case the weather in Patagonia makes it impossible to follow the itinerary. But in general it was a most enjoyable trip!

Excellent

The entire trip was a wonderful experience. White water rafting was the most fun, followed by the breathtaking hike across the volcanic area with views of the lake. Pucon and Bariloche were the stars of the itinerary. The gaucho experience was also a high-point, surpassing expectations. One general practice recommendation for G - when people on the trip fall sick, they should be recommended to get Covid-tested, and/or their rooming partners be offered a separate room (understandably subject to availability and additional cost). Reason for this recommendation is personal since my roomie was sick for most of the duration, and while I seemed to survive the proximity unscathed for the week, it caught up with me immediately thereafter.

BEST TRIP EVER

This was my first time solo traveling and it was the best week of my life! Bookmundi made every very accessible and they were extremely accommodating. I only had a few questions throughout the course of my 10 day itinerary, but the team was quick to respond and help me trouble shoot. I will think of this trip for the rest of my life. I will definitely be booking with them again and I recommend you do the same! :) Their itinerary provided a wide range of activities (city exploration, nature hikes, natural landmark excursions, etc)

Exhilarating

‘Discover Chile’ was a fantastic holiday and certainly in my top three tours over the last 20+years. The main reason it was fantastic was that we had brilliant weather throughout and considering this holiday was to principally look at the natural landscapes within the country this was essential. Although it was a certainty that we would have clear weather in the desert which was confirmed, the bonus of views of the snow capped Mt Osorno and others in the Lake District, and also the fantastic Torres del Paine against cloudless backdrops was the icing on the cake.

Amazing!

I overused the word amazing on this trip which far exceeded my expectations because of the spectacular nature of the country. It really is an excellent way to see so many totally different parts of the country in a short space of time. The variation in climate from the Atacama Desert down through the Lake District and to Patagonia was huge and, hence, the spectacular scenery and wildlife. Go for it!
