Portland, OR Tour Reviews
Guest reviews from travelers on tours in and around Portland, OR
Beautiful scenery. Loved the boat ride in Portland. The tour manager was great. She had music and films on the bus. She gave us insights about where our next stop was. There was a fun stop at Ben & Jerrys. The Von Trapp property was also nice. Mount Washington was an exciting addition. All in all it was a great trip.
The Roaming Coastal Maine Tour was fantastic. It was our first trip to Maine, so we were very happy to let Collette make all the arrangements. All the visits/excursions were outstanding! The oyster farm visit was so enlightening and fun and the host was hilarious. The lobster boat excursion was great, even if we only caught one lobster and even though the seas were a little choppy. Acadia National Park was amazing. The views from the top of Mount Cadillac were incredible. I loved both Portland and Bar Harbor. Even though they are quite different towns, they are both wonderful and quaint in their own way. We had a great time on this Roaming Coastal Maine Tour!
My favorite was learning about Maine. I had never been to Maine before and it was so great to see the beauty and the industrious nature of the people there. The trip was so well planned to not only show us the sites of Maine but also let us know the history and the workings of Maine. Excellent all the way!
My favorite experience was going on the “Lula” boat excursion to check lobster traps. Although the traps caught alot of crabs and only one small lobster, it was a great time. The lighthouse was cool to see too.
The tour manager was amazing. She was well prepared and provided a lot of information about the areas we visited. The provided meals were delicious and with the exception of the Mountain View Grand Hotel, served with efficiency. The rotation of seating in the bus was a nice feature. Meeting people from other states was a bonus although some type of get acquainted activity would have been nice. We are not shoppers, so some of those times were a little long, but we did a lot of people watching. My favorite was Portland and our farewell dinner of lobster!!
The surprise visit to Ben and Jerry's was fun and interesting. Pretty much everything was interesting. I learned a few new things. Jay our tour manager was great.
