My wife Gay responded to your forms and we shared the same feelings. The tour was wonderful in every way and Christian was fabulous!!!! So helpful, brilliant , funny and we both feel that we’d be so happy to go on any tour that he would be guiding !!!!!!
Overall, I truly enjoyed the tour. It covered a lot of grounds and gave a good sample variety of Sicily and Southern Italy. I was very impressed by the farm to table experience. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming and made us feel like family. I truly loved Cefalu and its charms. Arigento and Valley of the Temples was a wonderful experience. Matera , Taormina and Pompeii were learning experiences as well. Exhilarated to experience Sorrento and travel the Amalfi Coast. Alberobello and trulli homes was a great learning experience.
Bus driver franco and tour guide christian fabulous! Climbing mt etna was by far the most memorable and that tour guide was incredible, knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of those who needed help emotionally and physically.
The tour manager Rosario was very knowledgeable professional and very personal always available to help us make the trip enjoyable. I enjoyed Palermo,Monreale Cathedral, the salt pans, olive and caper farm tours, valley of the temples,Salina island,Stromboli volcano,Taormina,Mount Etna. I would suggest staying at Baja Di Ulisse for more than one day,we did not have enough time to enjoy the beautiful beach and amenities.
Sicily was a total surprising discovery. Martina with her incredible energy and beautiful smile guided 40 of us in some magnificent places. Her local guides were well versed in history, culture of the regions. I never heard of the Norman architecture. The food was also a big surprise. So fresh and various. Then Sorento , Positano ,all jewels of the Southern Italy were fun to explore. Alfeo our driver had an incredible abilities to deal with some vertiginous streets and keep his cool. I will recommend this tour to anyone. I celebrated my 85 with my daughter who came from NZ . I am dreaming of the places we visited Vedere Napoli pui morire! Thank you MM
Wonderful trip but too short. Martina was the best guide we ever had. She made even the long bus trips enjoyable. I would have liked a little more time in Pompeii but what we saw was interesting and our guide was very informative. The hotels were very nice and located well. I thought Sorrento was great. Only thing i would comment on is changing the hotels every two days was a bit much even though i realized we had a lot of real estate to cover.
