The appointment is at our agency, where you will meet your instructor. Your tour will start on the Promenade des Anglais with a short training session. Follow along the Mediterranean Sea and take the direction of the port to discover the eastern part of Nice.
From here your guide will remove the speed limitation so you may ascend the "basse corniche" at maximum speed where you will have an unobstructed view over the bay of Nice and Cap Ferrat beyond.
Once arrived in Villefranche, benefit from free time to wander the small streets of the city or drink a glass of wine facing the sea. Return to Nice climbing the hills for the fortress of Mont Alban and its panoramic views!

Our guide Manu and our driver Ken ably assisted by Allen, guide in training made our trip smooth, enjoyable, informative and pleasurable. We learnt lots about champagne, how to drink it with appreciation. We went to a family owned vineyard which made the experience intimate and pleasurable. We had a wonderful trip up above Chamonix on the cog railway and then cable car over the glacier. Some of us visited the ice tunnels into the glacier which is shrinking. We visited a family run cheese factory, fascinating and informative especially as there was a large dump of snow outside which stopped our trip across the alps. Ken then took us to another route with striking scenery and winding roads. We visited small villages, one with a weekly market. Manu bought food for a picnic. All our hotels were great - spacious, except for Paris! Hotels were modern, breakfasts were excellent. Our shared evening meals were very good. This trip was made by a good group of fellow travellers who were all travellers, on time, sociable and sharing. The WhatsApp group set up for the trip is still receiving posts from fellow travellers.

My first solo walking holiday surpassed expectations. Every day was different. The walks varied from rocky steep mountain trails to flat coastal paths. The scenery was beautiful. The views of the Riviera from clifftops were spectacular. Wandering through quaint , quiet villages was a delight. An added bonus was the friendly company of everyone in the group and the laughter and different stories about life in other countries at dinner in local restaurants.
