Reviews of our New Orleans Tours for November
Feedback from guests whose tour started in/around New Orleans during November.
Learning about country music, seeing Memphis and all the Elvis places and things, seeing Nashville , seeing old Mississippi , I also liked the hotels we stayed in during our trip. Nice mix. Nice pace over our time on the tour.
The trip itinerary was well thought out. A great journey through some very diverse and fascinating towns and cities, with good food, warm people, amazing music, history, civil rights and varied experiences along the way. I honestly wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did and I don't think I've ever learned so much on a holiday before. The Mississippi Delta is fascinating.
We had a great trip. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. Accommodations and transports were top notch. The schedule was full and kept us moving. It was nice to have a trip all planned out. We learned a lot about the history of the cities, music styles and the artists that were prevalent in the cities we visited. The music; whether you saw a jazz band in New Orleans, a blues band in Memphis, or country stars performing at the Grand Ole Opry, they were all excellent. Highly recommended.
Excellent tour in all respects. A good chance to learn about country music and three cities. Tours of music recording studios and the National Civil Rights Museum were highlights. Going a day early to New Orleans gives you a chance to go to the World War Museum that is outstanding. Elizabeth is a great tour manager. I highly recommend the tour.
If you're into music (especially The Blues) and want to understand where it all started and developed, this is the trip for you. Starting with the background of the Civil Rights movement and visiting iconic sites such as the bridge at Selma and the museums in Atlanta and Birmingham, we followed the development of the Blues from New Orleans through Clarksdale, Memphis and finally Nashville. We experienced a wide range of live music - gospel, blues, jazz, country, rockabilly, bluegrass etc and saw the places where it all began. It was a truly entertaining and memorable trip from the beginning to the end made even more special by our awesome guide, Jay.
