Reviews of our Mumbai Tours for March
Feedback from guests whose tour started in/around Mumbai during March.
Yes the Emarald is a bit of a shock when you arrive all hot and bothered. Clean sheets and a hot shower help. It didn't seem half as bad by the time we returned at the end of the trip. Inder was a great guide and my fellow explorers were great fun. The places we stayed were lovely and the food consistently good. There is no guarantee you will see a tiger. We spent a day chasing around, sitting waiting for alarm calls. It makes an actual sighting more special and emotional One of the best holidays I've had
I love the group experience and seeing a country warts and all from the road rather than the insides of airports and hotels. I like the Indian people and was surprised at how much I enjoyed the food. The Indian cooking course was a highlight.
We loved this tour! My husband was not keen on my booking this but thanked me so much afterward because he thoroughly enjoyed it. The Dabbawalas and Dhobis are nothing short of amazing. Our guide did lots of other fun things that we were not expecting. Loved the train ride but getting off was a big scary. Highly recommend this tour. It will give you a small glimpse of Mumbai.
I would like to thank the team at this tour company for arranging our holiday to India. We enjoyed every moment of it. A special thank you to Aushitous for his patience and always making himself available to tend to our every query while planning the trip to India as well as during our stay in India. Your professionalism, attention to detail, pleasant and humble demeanor is much appreciated. The well planned and executed holiday resulted in us having an amazing experience and wonderful memories. I shall definitely be returning for the 2nd leg of an Indian Adventure.
To call our trip a Tiger Safari is a bit of stretch. After 48 hours of drives in 4/5 National Parks we had seen only ONE tiger. But we did see three leopards, lots of different deer and lots and lots of birds.
This tour was in line with the trip notes, visiting interesting sites in an area of India that is less touristy. The group got on well and were all experienced travellers, which helped with the smooth running of the tour. Veeru is a very experienced leader who solved any problems before we were aware of them. Hotels were at the better end of expectations. The people we met were welcoming, the women’s saris perpetually a delight, food tasty and cheaper than expected. Being invited to join a wedding in one of the hotels was an unexpected extra. You will enjoy if you are laid back and open minded about the realities of travel in India and enjoy exploring forts, temples, mosques, palaces and mausoleums. I would advise some pre tour research on Indian history and religions to help understand the context of the places you will visit.
