Moroccan Sahara Desert Explorer Trips

This holiday was a fantastic trip for our family (2 adults & 2 teenage girls). The itinerary was varied, with a good mix of activities (walking, cycling, camel riding etc.) alongside more cultural visits to places we wouldn't have otherwise seen (e.g. kasbahs, a salt mine, pottery co-operative, Koranic library and souks) as well as free time at the hotel swimming pools. The accommodation was comfortable and exceeded our expectations for the rural gîte and the desert tents. Our guide, Mohamed Moujane, was excellent. He was informative, fun, attentive to all the guests' needs and smoothly managed all the administrative tasks (e.g. tour guides/tickets/tips etc.). The minibus drivers, Hassan and Mohamed, were also amazing. All the people we met during the holiday were lovely and made the trip both fun and educational for us all.

Everything was better than we expected. We loved the variety of the itinerary, food and accommodation. Travelling with other families in the group was a great experience for the adults and children. We got on very well which made the experience even more special. Our leader Moha went above and beyond to ensure we were all happy and safe at all times.

I saw Morocco in depth on this tour! We met local people, walked the streets and shopped where they shopped in the souks. We sat at the table with restaurant owners and enjoyed their delicious food. We ate oranges still fresh from the sunshine. From the desert to the sea, from the High Atlas to dry valleys and watered canyons, we walked the land of Morocco and felt in awe. Also, we were great travel companions under Yacine's guidance. Yala, Yala!

As I stated earlier, Jill and I are both 80 and had wanted to visit Morocco 5 years ago, then Covid hit and we had to put our plans on hold. Finally we were able to make plans to make the trip this year and the tour far exceeded our expectations. Morocco is a country with a rich history and very diverse geographic sections within a days drive of each other. The two Atlas mountain ranges, the Sahara desert, rocky gorges and verdant oasis, river valleys, and vast agricultural zones make for an interesting landscape, but the warm and friendly people who live in Morocco are what made the trip so special. On top of that we had Jaouad as our CEO and he is the best!

Morocco exceeded my expectations, the mountains were magical, the desert camp outstanding and ending the trip with 2 days on the coast was well planned, will highly recommend this trip to others

I had no issues with the service provided by G. Great as always. My issues were with being there during Ramadan and some of the restrictive Islamic rules -- something that G can't do anything about. ?
