Mexico City Tours in February 2027

Contrasts of Mexico is an Explore trip, which I would thoroughly recommend. You need to be very keen on seeing the ancient sites, which all in our group were. We had knowledgeable, professional but friendly, and experienced guiding by our tour leader Luis. He was a mine of information on the places we visited. He had to cope with some recent and sudden changes to the itinerary, which turned out not to be for the best re accommodation, and transportation. He attended to our needs well. The towns we visited were fascinating and enjoyable to explore. The journeys were long, which we expected, in order to reach all the itinerary, but manageable, with reasonably comfortable transport, and enough stops. We were given enough time at all the sites. If you are a vegetarian, or vegan you will not get a great choice of healthy, tasty foods. Maybe bring seeds, nuts etc to supplement what's on offer. The tour and all we saw was beyond my expectations.

We enjoyed our recent highlights tour of Mexico. There was lots to see and explore. We thought the ancient sites were magnificent. However, we recommend that people arrive in Mexico city a couple of days beforehand to acclimatise and really explore this magnificent city and its museums. In Particular the Anthropology museum. We really enjoyed the mountainous regions, and the indigenous areas were just so interesting. The towns and cities of San Christobal De las casas, Campeche and Merida were splendid and worth staying for longer and really getting to know. Playa del Carmen at the end of the trip was a huge disappointment. It's not worth the effort and is a little tacky.

This was a great introduction to a region I knew little about. The tour certainly delivered an experience I?ll replay in my head for a long time. Just the right amount of amount of activity packed in a short period of time. I learned about people, places, and significant events. It?s an experience that?s definitely helped me appreciate the diversity of our world and I thank G Adventures for making the experience an unforgettable one.

I really enjoy the experience, even tho I was traveling my own country (Mexico) I enjoyed the company of a group around my same age instead of traveling solo. The company make it easy with the logistic and organization. And the staff are amazing.

An incredibly memorable and rewarding experience. Shared so many laughs with the fellow roamies and the ceo (Annalisa was incredible). The activities both optional and included were some of the best days of my life. Probably my favourite part was seeing how much the culture and landscape changed throughout the journey. I loved it so much!!

This was a very worthwhile trip. We saw a lot of southern Mexico, with a journey of 1500 miles. We visited many meso american sites, Palenque, Uxmal, Chichen Itza, but also saw a lot of the country. Going by car though a long journey was much better than flying as we saw a great deal more.
