Mexico City Tours in April 2027

This is a tour of archeological sites mixed with typical mexican dishes and exploration of Mexican Landscapes and sometimes even birdlife. We began in Mexico City - where I would recommend to arrive 1-2 days early Try to book tickets for night performance at Palacio de Bellas artes & if you like Frida Kahlo. Coyoacan itself was very turisty - too crowded (did not like that so much). We loved the new feature -the excellent Jamaica Market in Mexico City - which is an amazing food- flower - fruit market. Some of the rides between Mexico City- Puebla-Oaxaca- Chiapas- San Cristobal-Palenque-Campeche and Merida can be rather long - around 5-6 hours in a bumby buss, so although the pace is moderate be aware that you are driving long distances. We loved Puebla - an old colonial spanish city, Oaxaca - nice colorfull - the sumidiero canyon (amazing boat ride along grand canyon like landscape). Of course the archeological sites are great and impressive (I liked Palenque). The food is a majority of meat but you do get to sample a lot of different foods - fruit & fish included, some I liked and some were not to my taste (but all good quality). The cooking class was great. The good part is that all breakfast is included and some of the lunches or diners too. Don't expect much of the swimming pools - they are rather small. The last day we went to swim in a cenote - which was awesome - a sort of sinkhole. Our tourleader gave us detailed explanations about archeology - he has a university degree in this. The advantage of this tour is that you get to stay in some places for 2-3 nights so this makes the tour more relaxing than others. There are no beach opportunities, unless you go the last days to Cancun. I would definately recommend this tour as I think the combination of food - markets and archeology is more varied and offers a more interesting perspective than only the archeology.

It was not my first G Adventures tour, and definitely not the last one! I really enjoyed it. Maybe it was not as crazy as Southeast Asia, but that has nothing to do with the company, only the country itself. I loved the included activities on this trip! Ale (our tour guide) did an amazing job! Every time when something didn?t go 100% well, he would fix the problem immediately. I have found friends for life and I feel like he might be 1 of them.

The trip had adventure but also time to relax. I liked the balance between organized activities and free time. I feel I got to see a lot of Mexico in a short time, it was a really valuable experience. I would 100% do a similar style of tour again with G Adventures in another country.

Information provided by Europamundo on the tour were good and comprehensive. The tour guides were professional and knowledgable of the places visited and shared good location info/tips with group passengers. Our tour mates, mostly from Latin America, were friendly and easy to get along with. Minimal communication skills in Spanish could be a disadvantage though it does not affect the enjoyment of the tour. A 16day tour requires lots of stamina and older folks should be mindful that a long trip could be exhausting especially towards the end. Overall, we were happy with the great services provided by Europamundo.

This trip is truely a gem! I am impressed how much we saw in such a short time-frame! The adventure itself was authentic, unique and intimate, meaning I was able to make plenty of friends, and share incredible memories with them! I thank the G Adventures team, especially Anni for her dedication, and fun-loving spirit. You are truely one of a kind. Thankyou for allowing me to share in this wonderful experience with you!

What a great experience. Discovering this fantastic country with its rich culture, beautiful landscape, surrounded by a lovely group of like-minded fellow travelers and an absolutely brilliant CEO. The CEO was the connecting element with a profound knowledge in cultural topics of Mayan history, nature and landscape issues, impressive foodie or simply party locations. Thank you - it was amazing!
