I took this tour in October, and thoroughly enjoyed it. All of the parks were beautiful in their own way and our accommodations were always ready for us, clean, and comfortable. Our tour guide did a great job of keeping us on time, providing informative commentary about each area we visited, and keeping us informed about our schedule and what we should expect. Our bus driver did a wonderful job of navigating all the hair pin turns on the trip and was professional and friendly. I have already recommended it to friends who have asked about it.

Excellent

The tour was magnificent in terms of scenery, experience and adventure. The CEO (driver and babysitter) was excellent. The hotels were adequate but a little varied in quality. The bus was a little cramped.

This trip was a truly memorable experience. First, fantastic awe-inspiring scenery that managed to be different every day, but always majestic and unbelievably grand. Second, an excellent guide who not only knew his stuff but managed our group in a very effective, pleasant, but low-profile way in every respect. He was always there for us, and necessary changes were handled seamlessly and pleasantly without fuss. Third, overall organisation, so that things happened when they were supposed to.

Excellent

This was an absolute dream adventure. Matt was amazing as were the other people on the tour. This was my first G Adventure and I can honestly say that I am 150% hooked on travelling with you again....what an incredible experience, one that I will never forget.. I will absolutely recommend this to others.

This was a wonderful trip through breathtaking and remarkable scenery. Our tour guide Markus made it all the better by making minor changes to the planned itinerary to suit the group and climate. The hotels/motels were varied but in general, served the purpose of sleeping and recharging. A great introduction to the geology/ history of South Western USA. I highly recommended this tour.

National Parks walk

The content of this trip was excellent and we had a very good holiday. There were a few minor deficiencies however, mostly concerning information/communication..... We travelled with others who had booked through Grand American Adventures and they appear to have been better served: they arrived earlier in Las Vegas and had time to explore the city whereas we had time only for a quick dash in, despite the trip notes listing day 1 as a city day. We arrived at the hotel at 6.00pm, just in time for the briefing. We were advised that our guide would expect tips of $5-7 per person per day but we were surprised to hear that there were two guides and they expected $10 per day each. As a couple, therefore, we paid $400 which was way above budget. There were other minor 'annoyances' ... we were told that no meals were included but our GAA were told some breakfasts were included. We were left unsure but caught on eventually and gained a couple of meals! The Alexis Park was disappointing: they took 1 hour to collect us on arrival, the room was shoddy (and the door lock fell off) and it is a good 15 mins brisk walk to town. We thought we might also have been dropped at the airport for our return flight, as we passed the door, rather than return to the Alexis Park and immediately return to the airport. Sedona, the last minute addition to the itinerary, was very nice and we felt we could have made more of the walking opportunities there. A short town tour and lie by the pool was all that was needed!
