Kruger National Park Tours in August 2027

This trip was a partnership with ECOTraining for 'Learn to Be a Safari guide'. This trip included daily bush hikes, lots of info from excellent guides, very yummy food and awesome game drives to see many animals in the wild. One of the best and most unique experiences.

This was my first contiki trip and I did not know anyone before the trip, but it was fantastic. We spent a lot of time doing game drives so that we got to see a lot of animals. We also got to do more cultural activities as well, which was important to me. The trip leader was fantastic, and all the people he worked with along the way were also great. I learned a lot. If you are interested in going on a safari trip, but are not sure how to get around or where to go, this is a great way to do it.

I did the South Africa trip in July. It was honestly the most incredible trip I have ever been on. Dan, Ethan and Mike were all absolutely fantastic at their jobs, always on hand to answer any questions or sort any issues which added to the overall experience of my trip to South Africa. The trip was 12 days and everyday was full of amazing trips and activities. There were also some amazing location stays, my favourite being Hlane National Park in Eswatini. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone. A special thanks to Dan, Ethan and Mike for being wonderful tour guides who always made sure the group were having the time of their lives.

There are almost too many great things to say about this trip but Ill attempt to keep it brief. First and Foremost this was my first trip outside of Europe and as a young woman in a country where I dont know anyone or speak the language mine and my families number one concern was my safety, and our group leader Dan and local guide Machiel could not have been more reassuring. Felt out of harms way completely but thats not to say we were shielded or sheltered from the real South Africa. Both Dan and Machiel told us repeatedly that the point of this intro tour is to show us the good the bad and the ugly and thats exactly what they did but in a very secure environment. And now we can go onto the Brilliant and fun things that both of them arranged for us, from Safaris to cliff jumping and some of the most spectacular viewpoints in the world, South Africa is definitely a must for any kind of traveler. But none of the incredible experiences would have been possible without Dan and Machiel, these are not just two blokes who have randomly decided to do this for a laugh they are extremely passionate and enthusiastic about South Africa and it is absolutely infectious. Could not have asked or imagined a better group leader and Guide. Both knew their stuff about South africa ranging from the culture to the Safari animals to the Political climate. They always went out of their way to make sure we got the most out this trip, getting us upgrades at hostels and hotels frequently and going that extra mile (literally)to get us to another viewpoint. Machiel even cooked us a traditional braai and potjie himself, which was the most incredible meat dish I think Ive ever had. If you are a veggie this trip will not be as incredible for you as the South African people are incredibly generous and kind and love to make fantastic meat dishes for all meals of the day. Traveling all round South Africa was such light work for us passengers, Dan and Machiel handled absolutely everything so you can sit back and listen to them tell you all about the wonders of South Africa. The only advice Id have for people going on this incredible, immensely rich experience is to trust your group leader and guide (especially if theyre Dan and Machiel) theyre worth their salt and are only there to make it an unforgettable trip, and repeatedly went out their way to make our days absolutely remarkable.
