Trip of a lifetime!

My partner and I had the most amazing experience with this local travel specialist. We completed the three high passes + EBC trail, with my partner even going on to summit Island Peak (successfully!). Our guide Kanchha Tamang made sure we had the best experience - a well planned itinerary to ensure we acclimatised properly, looking out for any signs of AMS, looking after us when we both got sick with viruses on the trail. We had flexibility to change our itinerary a bit to maximise our chance of the best views as we were walking quicker than expected. Kanchha always made sure we had fun, made great memories, learned lots about the culture and history of the regions we were in, and supported us so well through what can be a pretty challenging few weeks on the trail. We miss him already! Special shout-out to our amazing porter Jiban, without whom the trek would not have been possible and for whom we are so grateful. And another special mention to Rajendra who managed our trip and who goes truly above and beyond for his clients. When we mentioned to Kanchha we were interested in exploring Pokhara after our trek had finished, he called Rajendra who then arranged everything for us (flights, accomodation, recommendations for activities, booked us in for paragliding). When we got stranded in Lukla for a few days due to grounded planes, it is due to the tireless efforts of Kanchha & Rajendra that we were able to get out of the mountains on a helicopter and continue our holiday.

Everest Base Camp and Island Peak

answered all questions promptly and in detail. From the moment I arrived at Kathmandu airport I was promptly met and taken to hotel where Kris met with me and reviewed itinerary for next few weeks. Travel arrangements to Lukla had to be changed because of government shutdown of Kathmandu airport and Kris took care of all changes. Upon my arrival at Lukla I was met by my guide Pembra and porter and quickly given orientation and set off on trek. Over next two weeks my guide Pembra made sure all my needs were attended to and he made sure that the pace was appropriate for terrain and my condition. Although we were ultimately unable to summit because of weather the entire experience was was incredible and views spectacular. Cannot say enough about how well I was taken care of and the care they took to ensure I had a positive and successful experience. Based on my experience I would highly recommend this local travel expert and Kris for any future trekking experience in Nepal.

Once in a lifetime experience made even more memorable by our guide and porter

This is the first time weve booked a tour like this. We were complete novices when it comes to trekking and when it comes to Nepali customs. We were greeted at the airport by our taxi ride even though our flight was delayed and taken straight to the tour companys office. The manager, Khum, had informed us that there had recently been bad weather and that it may be best to take a helicopter at an extra cost in order to complete the EBC tour. We initially thought this was just a money making exercise and so ignored his advice, but when the flight was cancelled the following day, the tour company were very helpful in arranging the earliest possible helicopter. We had already met our guide Guruu and even though it meant paying for a helicopter for him too, we immediately liked him so much that it was an easy choice for us. Guruu and our porter Dandi ensured that we made it to EBC even though this meant that they had to walk harder and faster than usual. They did all this with smiles on their faces and always ensured that we were well looked after before thinking of themselves. It is an amazing experience full of wonderful sights and beautiful people and I would not have wanted to have this experience without Guruu and Dandi. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family who embark on this trek. The trek itself, amazing! It still hasnt sunk in how beautiful this place is and how weve been immersed in such an inconic setting. Bucket list material.

Awesome trek

The trek to the Everest Base Camp was great, the various nature stunning and the views of the highest mountains of the world just mesmerizing. Luckily, the weather was really good at that time and the sky clear most of the times. Unfortunately, I got heavy symptoms of the mountain sickness which forced me to go back after summiting Kala Pathar. Therefore, I sadly can't evaluate the Island Peak climbing experience.

Island peak climb chhukubg to chhukung

We summitted Island Peak on a wonderful day. Everything went smoothly. I had some communication issues on the programme with the guide, the local operator reacted professionnally and solved everything.
