Our leader ingrid run the tour perfectly even taking over when some of the local guilds were not up to scratch and made sure everyone got to the airport . checked if anyone needed to go to the shops

Fantastic Experience!

We cannot thank you and everyone from the team enough for the fantastic experience we had in Argentina. We will (and already have) recommended you to any of our friends looking to travel to Argentina, particularly Patagonia. All we had to do was pack and show up! It was so easy, and so much fun. There was something we loved about every hotel that we stayed at, but I think my favourite was the Cauquenes de Nimez in El Calafate... The afternoon tea, the wonderful staff, and the proximity to the wildlife reserve were the icing on the cake for this already charming and cozy place.

AMAZING TRIP!

You took very good care of us on our trip and we thank you for that. We would recommend your company to anyone who is interested in visiting Argentina! We miss Argentina already. Our trip was fantastic and memorable so hopefully we will return soon. There were so many parts of the trip that we loved and appreciated. We liked the fact that we were picked up by someone from the airport when we arrived. Picked up for our trip to Bariloche both ways and picked up from our hotel to go back to EZE. That definitely took some stress off of our trip. Our whole trip went accordingly without any delays or mixups. The team planned everything out and it was perfect for us. Also, we appreciated the restaurant suggestions since we didn't know where good places to eat were. We loved both our hotels. Fierro had wonderful and helpful staff. They couldn't have been more helpful to us. The breakfast was always delicious. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. In Bariloche we stayed at Cacique Inacayal Lake Hotel and it was very nice. The view from our room was breathtaking. Waking up every morning to the blue skies, lake and mountains in the background. It was amazing. The location was great since it was only a few blocks from the Town Centre. We loved all our excursions because each was different and showed us different aspects of each city. All 3 of our guides were exceptional. We loved Rodrigo's passion for Buenos Aires and showing us the history, the way of life and the beautiful sights. I wish we would've had him show us around another day too. His English was very good so it wasn't difficult listening to him explain the history of the city. In Bariloche we had Karen as our guide. Since she spoke English there was no problem understanding her. When we went to Cerro Campanario I didn't know you had to go on a ski left. I told her i was afraid of heights and not sure if I could do it. She rode with me on the lift and helped me to go up and see the amazing views. I'm so glad she did. I wouldn't have wanted to miss those spectacular views. She also introduced us to mate tea. Rodrigo explained it to us and Karen gave us a taste of it which I'm glad she did since I didn't really like it so I didn't buy any. Karen was a nice, easy going tour guide who was happy to convey her deep knowledge of the Bariloche Big Circuit area. Then we had Nicholas take us on a boat tour of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and eventually wound up on land and trekking a mile to see a beautiful waterfall. The lake views were breathtaking. Nicholas spoke 5 different languages which was very impressive. He was very knowledgeable of the area. Everything was fantastic and went very smoothly. I just wish we could've spent more time in your beautiful country. Thank you so much for a trip of a lifetime. Everybody here asks us why we picked Argentina to visit. After i show them our pictures and talk about our trip they want to visit too someday. You took very good care of us on our trip and we thank you for that. We would recommend your company to anyone who is interested in visiting Argentina!

We certainly got to see a few of Brazil's incredible highlights - Ignazu Falls and a jaguar in the Pantanal were particularly special. Brazil is a huge country and this means that several days of the trip are devoted to transfers - 8 internal flights and quite a few bus journeys! A caipirinha at sunset was a good way to recover from the long distances we crossed.

Our tour leader Ingrid was absolutely superb and worked extremely hard to make the most out of our trip. There were some fabulous highlights but a few things that made the trip less-than-ideal. One is just how much you have to travel to see everything. We understood this before we started, but the reality of travelling internally in Brazil was that there were no direct flights available between locations, which meant that a full 5 days of the trip was spent on air or bus transport, making the itinerary tiring and the time available to explore locations very limited. And some of the local guides were not so good, in one case not even realising that tickets for a national park could be bought cheaper and far more quickly on line in advance, adding extra time and expense. And one had only superficial sensitivity to wildlife, getting frustrated with us when we exhorted her not to physically handle a wild animal. Very disappointing was a late decision not to allow optional travel into the Pantanal, which was to have been my highlight of the trip. The reasons given and very late decision were not entirely convincing. On balance, overall it was a fair trip with some memorable experiences, but I could not recommend spending this amount of money on what amounts to nearly half the trip sitting on public transport. The itinerary is too much to realistically pack into 2 weeks. In this case less ambition would have been more opportunity. For context, I've travelled a lot with Explore over many years and this is the first trip that has over-promised and under-delivered.
