Felt the trip was great value for money! We also had great experiences with customer service - everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful in helping us get on our holiday after the first one got cancelled because of Covid. Would book with this operator again.
This was my first solo holiday and I really enjoyed my time on the trip, hit all the hot spots of Japan with enough free time every day to look around and take it all in. The food and entertainment suggestions provided by our guide Ricardo were excellent but the free time in the evening also allowed us to explore our own options. Ricardo was a great guide, knowledgeable and fun and was helpful to have around for any language barriers. The travel on public transport was easy enough, however, There is A LOT of walking, so bring some comfy shoes! All in all, a great experience for anyone's first time to Japan!
I got into one of the first groups after Japan unlocked for tourism, and enjoyed an October excursion through the Land of the Rising Sun. From urban to country, mountains to sea, this tour provides a smorgasbord of Japan's landscape and culture. Excellent price for what is delivered here, pretty much all of the iconic areas will get visited. The included activities were fantastic, but there was still plenty of time for personal exploring. Food from Koya, the time in Hiroshima, and the floating gate in Miyajima, really make the 14 day tour something special. Take the recommendation to pack light seriously! You'll be a much happier camper if don't have multiple bags to juggle every time you switch cities.
Any place went to visit next time: Gundam Base Tokyo Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Keigo, was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make this a great trip for us. I couldn't be happier with the sights we visited and the food we got to enjoy. I would highly recommend this tour to my friends and family.
This trip was excellent and worth the money, despite Japan being expensive. Be prepared for a lot of walking, so if you have health issues, it might not be for you. A great tip is to forward your luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto for 2,000–3,000 YEN, allowing you to pack light for two days in between. The accommodation in Tokyo is a basic hostel with bunk beds and shared bathrooms, despite being advertised as twin share. The Kyoto hostel is newer but similar in setup, and there's no option for single or upgrade rooms. Also, the itinerary mentioned breakfast in Kyoto, which wasn't included. While the initial guide was unprofessional, the tour operator replaced him on Day 5, and the new guide made the experience unforgettable.
