Dead Sea Tours and Holidays

491 reviews on bookmundi

Located between Israel and Jordan and parts of the West Bank, the Dead Sea is a unique creation of nature. This salty lake is unlike any other place on earth, with its waters being ten times saltier than those of the ocean. With Qumran caves and Masada nearby, and Ein Gedi's well-known oasis and nature reserve to the west, the Dead Sea tours have a lot to offer. Take advantage of the therapeutic powers of the mineral-rich waters while enjoying the magnificent scenery at the lowest point on Earth.

Discovering Jordan Safely with Expert Local Guides

Traveling with this travel agency was one of the best choices I made for my trip to the Middle East. From the moment I arrived at Queen Alia Airport, I felt looked after with their smooth transfer service and clear communication. The itinerary was perfectly balanced: exploring Petra’s timeless beauty, experiencing the magic of Wadi Rum with a thrilling jeep tour, and relaxing by the Dead Sea. What impressed me most was how attentive and flexible the team was—every detail felt personalized, and safety was always a top priority. I also appreciated the cultural insights shared by the guides, which added depth to every site I visited. Jordan can sometimes feel overwhelming for a solo traveler, but with Jordan Horizons I felt safe, welcomed, and inspired throughout.

Unforgettable Journey Through Jordan

Traveling with this travel agency was one of the best decisions we’ve made. The organization was flawless: hotel bookings, comfortable vehicles, and well-planned itineraries made everything stress-free. What stood out most was the balance between sightseeing and relaxation. We had time to enjoy Petra’s majesty, float in the Dead Sea, and even sip tea with Bedouins in Wadi Rum. Each guide we met added genuine passion and knowledge to our journey. I appreciated how flexible the team was with last-minute requests, making us feel valued and cared for throughout the trip.

Exceptional Tour Experience Across Jordan

Traveling with this tour operator an outstanding experience. From Amman to the Dead Sea, everything felt perfectly planned yet flexible enough for personal preferences. Our driver was punctual, safe, and provided fascinating insights into local culture. At Petra, our guide’s storytelling made the ancient city come alive. Wadi Rum was another highlight—the jeep safari, traditional dinner, and stargazing created lifelong memories. What impressed me most was the personal attention and genuine hospitality that made us feel more like friends than customers.

Exceptional service and unforgettable moments

Our experience was nothing short of outstanding. From Amman to the Dead Sea, every step of the journey was seamlessly organized. Our driver, Ahmad, was both professional and warm, offering insights into local culture that we would have otherwise missed. Petra was an awe-inspiring highlight, and the overnight camp in Wadi Rum exceeded expectations, with comfortable tents and delicious traditional meals. Even the small details, like bottled water in the vehicle and flexibility in the itinerary, showed their commitment to excellence. It felt less like a tour and more like traveling with friends.

A well-paced adventure blending history and nature

This tour operator designed a journey that felt perfectly balanced between sightseeing and relaxation. We began with the sweeping views from Mount Nebo, continued through Petra’s dramatic Siq, and ended each day with enough time to unwind. The choice of hotels was thoughtful, with great locations and comfortable rooms. Our guide adapted the pace for our group, ensuring everyone enjoyed the hikes without feeling rushed. Wadi Rum’s silence was magical, especially at dawn when the desert glowed pink. The team’s attention to detail, from restaurant suggestions to handling logistics, made it all effortless. I can’t imagine exploring Jordan any other way.

Dead Sea — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Tour Highlights

  • Be amazed by the healing properties of minerals and mud of the Dead Sea float.
  • Relish the majestic views of the Dead Sea from the Dead Sea Panoramic Complex and marvel at the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran National Park.
  • Go hiking, witness the wildlife, wander through a floral garden, and take in the breathtaking David Waterfall at the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve. While you are there, do not forget to explore Wadi Arugot and Wadi David, two well-known canyons.
  • Enjoy a refreshing swim at Ein Bokek Beach or simply unwind at Kalia Beach.
  • Take the Snake Trail hike to reach Masada National Park, a world heritage site.
  • Take a dip in Ma'in Hot Springs, explore Lot's Cave's rustic appeal, climb the Zara Cliff, and hike up to Mount Nebo.

Travel Tips

  • During the Dead Sea Tours, it is not uncommon to come across sinkholes, which you should stay away from. Keep this in mind, especially if you plan to travel to the northern basin, as freshwater often dissolves underground salt deposits.
  • Do not shave any part of your body in the days preceding your trip to the Dead Sea. Contact with highly saline water with open skin pores can cause irritation and a burning sensation. By that same logic, you should not step into the water if you have fresh cuts or wounds on your body.
  • Try to keep your heads above water at all times to protect your eyes from irritation. If you are traveling with children, advise them not to jump or splash in the water.
  • Mineral water can discolor your clothes and tarnish jewelry, while the saline can damage your phone camera and DSLR. So take the necessary precautions.
  • Make sure to drink plenty of water, as long exposure to mineral water and the hot sun can cause dryness of the skin and dehydration. The heat also makes the sand very warm, and thus you are advised to wear footwear at all times.
