Dalyan Tours and Trips

I enjoyed the mix of cycling and other activities. Ali was the best! So knowledgeable about every aspect of culture and history, concerned about everyone's welfare and just generally personable. A couple of "heads ups" to potential customers--the route is challenging, so if you think you might struggle on long climbs, think about the e-bike option. But be sure you know that you can get a bike that fits you. The only thing that detracted from the trip for me was that the bike was dangerously large for me!

This is a great holiday apart from the Mid week village stay where the food and accommodation is below acceptable standards. We also had a lot of issues with the bicycles which were poor quality. However, despite this the cycling routes were great as was our guide and overall it was a great experience.

I cycled from Dalyan to Kos. The accommodation was generally good apart from the night in Sutlegen. The food was excellent and our hosts very friendly but the facilities were basic. Two showers between 15 people is not enough. Overnight it was very cold in bed. With no heating in the room I slept fully clothed with a sheet and 2 blankets but was still too cold to sleep comfortably. The bikes were not functioning well. My gears were constantly slipping. Our guide, who was excellent, did his best to resolve every issue but the problem with my bike could not be fixed by making adjustments to the gearing. As an experienced cyclist, in my opinion the bikes were not serviced well enough prior to the start of the tour. Other riders had similar problems with their bikes. Throughout the tour our guide was excellent. His knowledge of the region was very impressive. He was always available to deal with any issues arising and did so. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

This is a brilliant cycling holiday. I particularly liked staying with a local family in a hill village and eating delicious home cooked lunches in local's houses while in the hills. It is the hilliest group cycling holiday of the many "moderate" cycling trips that I have done. An ebike option would make this an even better holiday. We went in mid September and the weather was cool in the hills and lovely and warm by the coast. Our leaders Tarkan and Ali were excellent and chose excellent restaurants for evening meals. Recommended.

Wonderful trip. Our tour leader Tarkan & Assalti were enthusiastic, informative and knowledgeable about every aspect of the cities & culture of Turkey. Both were patient with me as I was not as quick on the bike up those hills as were my fellow tour members. -Diane C

Amazing trip. The cycle routes were a good challenge, very scenic and nicely broken up by drinks breaks and lunch stops. The food on offer was often simple but delicious. Our tour leader Tarkan was very friendly and knowledgable as was our other guide Ali who shared his love for the region and its history. The trip also included some very welcome swims in the sea after some tough climbs in the heat (it was Sept but still in the 30+ degs) and the boat trip and swim at the end of one morning of cycling was a highlight. The accommodation was varied but each room was clean. We had a really friendly, fun group and enjoyed evening meals in some lovely restaurants. Highly recommended.
