I didn’t expect to love Crete as much as I did. Having a car was amazing. We got to see Balos Beach and even drove through some cute villages along the way. The hotels were super comfortable, and the breakfasts were a great start to each day. Santorini was beautiful too and the views from Fira were unreal. Our guide shared so many cool stories about the islands, and we tried some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. The mix of sightseeing and free time made it feel like we got the best of both worlds.

A very enjoyable week, highlights for me were the two gorges which I found reasonably straightforward. I would have liked a couple more longer walks or another gorge to walk but stunning and varied scenery. Accommodation was very good as was the variety of Cretan food to be tried. Crete is certainly a lovely island which we were very lucky to have our excellent tour leader Smaro to show us around

As the tour name suggests, this journey captured the most remarkable sites of two exceptional countries. Each city we visited in Turkey had its own unique character, and it's a country overflowing with historical and natural beauty at every turn. Greece, too, is just as special, with Mykonos feeling like a true paradise getaway. The cruise days were definitely my personal highlight, adding a wonderful touch to the experience. The trip was so much fun. Incredible hiking and scenery. A blend of the natural world and history. The accommodations were lovely and let you get a feel for the country, food and people. The trip was well-executed. The one thing I might point out was that the hiking on Day 2 to Lissos and on Day 4 to Loutro was more challenging than a hike classified as a Level 3 would indicate - even with preparation.

A great week with such a variety and great group. The first time this trip has run and some of the walks were a little challenging along the coast and two hotels disappointing. Chose to use BA flights and arrived day ahead which meant we had time to relax to enjoy Chania plus the flight times much better for no more money.

The walking and accommodation were excellent. The staff at the hotels were brilliant. Only improvement would be to give distances between each turning point rather than just approximate times. Most people have GPS devices which give accurate distances.
