County Cavan Tours and Trips

Wonderful tour. Great accommodations with superb breakfasts. Loved the old castles and the dinner at one. Would have liked the bus to slow down a few times when passing a great photo opportunity. Overall eating locations were excellent.

Our tour manager Martine was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable on all things Ireland and offered great suggestions for things to do with our free time. The trip flowed very well do to her efforts.. It was an outstanding trip with several memorable experiences. My favorites however, always involved the local music performances and the local culture we were able to experience.

Beautiful scenery! Beautiful weather until we got to Scotland but still fun! Too much bus riding to each location . Wished we had more places to stop and tour. The tour guide would tell us to look out the window at something but the bus driver didn't slow down enough for us to see. Tour guide needed to be a little bit more bubbly and make it more fun especially when you are riding for hours.

So much history and wonderful places to see. Tour manager (Fiona) very knowledgeable and bus driver (Sam) drive us throughout Ireland navigating each turn like a pro. Our tour director (Chuck) put together great accommodations with many stops along the way that were fun and interesting to see. If you only went to Dublin which was great and thought you saw Ireland, then take the Shades tour to see the real ireland

Fabulous Muckross Hotel with amazing rooms plus enjoyed their indoor/outdoor pools, hot tubs, saunas, and relaxing spa treatments. Had the best dinner/theater nights with Irish tap. Delicious homemade ice cream chocolate whisky. This epic experience is called “Finding the Craic!”

Fiona was a wonderful tour guide and Sam was a fantastic driver. The accommodations were excellent. I do wish we did not have to spend so much time on the bus. The bus was cramped for someone that is tall. It would be nice to have the option to not have to pay for breakfast. I only ate breakfast a few times on the tour because I can’t eat that much and I preferred to sleep later. I felt like that was money wasted. One of my favorite memories of the trip was the bus ride back after the castle dinner. Everyone was singing and laughing and it was great. Also Cabra castle was magnificent!
