Cluj-napoca Tours in June 2026

We were traveling to Romania for our son’s wedding and wanted to learn and explore as much as possible the week before. We took the small group Classic Romanian Tour and we would highly recommend this tour. It is a well-organized fast paced tour covering a lot of the country but you are never bored with interesting stops, beautiful scenery and a wonderful tour guide -Alex-who is kind, incredibly knowledgeable, great driver and willing to put up with our endless stream of questions. The hotels were perfectly situated for exploring and comfortable with good breakfasts. Romania is a beautiful country with a long and complicated history this tour is a great introduction and you will be in good hands with this tour operator.

Very organized. The time was well used to see major sites and to get a feel for the history and daily life. The tour was responsive to our request to include some outdoor, active activities in addition to sightseeing. The local guide was very good, knowledgeable and genial. Importantly, he was a good driver. The hotels were well selected, except for the one in Cluj which was a bit out of the center.

I absolutely loved my journeys and adventure in Romania. From the self-guided days at the start to the guided trek in the northern mountains & valleys of Romania. Fascinating! A step back in time. So much to see and take in. Rural, alpine scenes dotted with gorgeous quaint rickety villages and churches and monasteries along the way, to help break up the challenge of the trekking. Unfortunately we experienced the result of too much rain so the routes were extremely muddy and challenging to negotiate. But it all added to the fun and unforgettable experience. Guide Radu was just the best. A natural. Knowledgeable, helpful, always pleasant and fun. A great friend to steer us along the way and keep us in order!

Gigi, thank you for the special opportunities that you provides to meet and participate in activities with locals. It was especially fun to participate in the haying, a birthday celebration and local mountain food (in an authentic mountain home).
