Cambridge Tour Reviews

The tour was fast paced with long days but you couldn't do it any other way. We got to see so many towns, historic sites and places of interest. Our tour guide Brandon plus driver Craig were brilliant. Brando's history knowledge made the trip super enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour
We chose the Expat tour over all others because it had just about everything we were looking for, a sample of all five countries in the UK with literally all the ""hotspots"" we wanted to hit, as our belief is to try and ""do it all"" when you go somewhere, there's too many other places t visit to go back to the same place twice! We really wanted to see Stonehenge, Shakespeare's birthplace, have a Beatles experience in Liverpool, the ""town with the longest name"" in Wales, the Guinness Storehouse, Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, Ttianic Belfast, Loch Ness, have Whiskey Tastings & Haggis, and see all over Ireland and Scotland. It didn't disappoint, and in fact exceeded expectations as the one tour we were missing on our bucket list, the Wallace Monument in Scotland, wasn't on the initial itinerary, but wound up being a last-minute replacement over Falkirk...we were so glad that change was made as this visit certainly completed our experience! Of course to see all of these things in 13 days, you only get a glimpse of everything, but most of the trip had ample time to experience it all (you couldn't walk the full length of the Cliffs of Moher, but could still get a fair distance and take in the views...you couldn't read everything at the museums, but could get through the whole thing and learn something new). A few places were a little tight on time, and trying to eat and see the sights was a challenge, but overall, we were satisfied with the timings, aside from Bath & Glasgow. The only things that maybe weren't up to par were the Clydeside Distillery in Scotland and Spirit of Scotland show. Highlights were the Ring of Kerry, Wallace Monument, Liverpool, Loch Ness & Blarney Castle. Pleasant surprises were Glasgow & Edinburgh, Wales, Derry & Belfast, & Alnwick Castle, all lower on our list, but absolutely breathtaking and full of history. It was a whirlwind, but well worth it, hitting everything we wanted to see and more!
My husband and i have just returned home to Australia after completing Best of UK and Ireland 13 day tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and find it difficult to criticize any part of our experience. Our tour guide Peter was amazing! His knowledge was outstanding. He was professional, friendly and approachable at all times. He is great at what he does and is a huge asset to the Expat Explore team in our opinion. Credit must go to our coach captain, Mintie also, who delivered us safely to each destination whilst enduring some challenging situations but always managed to carry a smile and a joke. Overall our experience was amazing and we are looking at booking future tours with Expat Explore.
That was fun and very educational. Full of adventure and more than we expected. Peter our tour leader, was exceptional and full of knowledge. Thank you expat and see you to our next tour.
Being our first bus tour I wasn't sure what to expect and this bus tour is incredible! We travelled 4,212 kms through 4 countries and learned so much of the folklore and history of each place! People ask me what one thing stands out and I can't answer. Everything stood out, Stonehenge, Cliffs of Moher, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin...I can go on and on! This trip is beautiful, fun and gave so many wonderful life moments and new friends.
We really enjoyed this amazing trip. The itinerary was awesome, thanks Expat. Our tour leader, Peter, and co-tour leader, Lee, were great. Peter was very organized and friendly from day 1 until the end. He was full of knowledge, very good character with smile, and patience. He looked after everybody in the group. For example, he always walked from the front to the back of the coach asking if anyone had questions and/or needed help. He is one of the best tour leaders that we experienced on our trips (7 times with Expat). Thanks to Lee for taking care of the group. He was also friendly and full of knowledge. He made sure the group is safe and no one got lost during the walking tours. Lastly thanks to our excellent driver, Paul, for the safe and smooth coach ride. He was also funny.
