Blue Lagoon Tour Reviews
Guest reviews from travelers on tours in and around Blue Lagoon
Our travel expert planned out an amazing trip for my family and didn’t leave out any details from the car service at the airport, wonderful hotels, tours and activities that fit me and my husband and our two teenagers. We only had 6 days in Iceland and every day was well planned. We had a wonderful guide and he was thoughtful about what we needed during our 4 day tour with him. He went out of his way to add in stops along the way that were special to our family. We felt like we got a “locals” perspective on Iceland, it’s people and history which we would not have received if we were driving ourselves. This really made the trip special.
Iceland was spectacular and our tour guide and tour group was 5-star. Our 14 day trip to Iceland was a complete success thanks to the knowledge and hard work of both the agency and our incredible guide. Every step of the trip was well planned! The suggested itineraries were sensational and we (family of five) felt that the trip was customized for us and allowed us to get an amazing feel of the country and its people.
We had an amazing trip and felt very taken care of by the staff at our travel company. They went above and beyond. The itinerary gave us days that were full of thoughtfully planned, unique experiences. Every day felt fulfilling; we saw beautiful sights, had adventures, delicious food, and great hotel experiences, all while our wonderful guide shared his knowledge of Iceland with us. His passion for this beautiful country was contagious. We truly had the trip of a lifetime and are very grateful to have found our travel agency.
Iceland exceeded all our expectations! It is an extraordinary place with an incredible culture. The country boasts amazing natural beauty and the food scene is diverse. The entire experience was unique. The travel company hired a private guide who was beyond amazing. We experienced the country from a local and tourist perspective, enjoying some of the traditional sites, along with several local spots.
We loved the tour: it was very well organized, with a complete and exciting itinerary, that included not only the main attractions but also not touristic and really valuable activities. This wouldn’t have been possible without our tour guide Loftur: extremely knowledgeable and very fun, he was able to adapt the itinerary to any weather condition or preference and the result was simply great. He was also able to connect us with the Icelandic great culture. Highly recommended!
I feel like the optional experiences were overrated and, for what and where they were, could have just been included in the overall price and worked into the itinerary. Also, the Blue Lagoon day should be incorporated into Day 1, or as a day from airport arrival excursion since you can’t check into the hotel until later and could use a relaxing experience after air travel and avoid wet clothes for the return trip home. Also the Hotel in Reykjavik should be more centralized in the downtown area to allow for independent pedestrian exploration. Included food experiences need serious improvement. Iceland has great restaurants, but there was no option including them. I like to have a choice of what I am eating. The Be My Guest event was a bust. Other Trafalgar trips I have taken have been enhanced by this experience, but this trip needs to arrange for someone or somewhere else that understands that travelers have paid serious money to be there and to also appreciate that. All this said, the Tour Guide / Motor Coach was great and the main reason you go to Iceland is for the geographical experience and the Aurora Borealis, and Iceland did not disappoint!! The island is breathtaking and Reykjavik is a splendid city!
