Barbara Hunter, our tour guide, and Donel Healy, our tour bus driver were absolutely fantastic!!! The hotels and meals were great. The trip could not have gone any smoother. The only thing I wish could have been different was the return airline connection. Our inbound flight was from Philadelphia straight to Dublin. Our return was Dublin to LHR to Philadelphia. The connection was very tight for seniors with bad knees and physical restrictions. Other than that, it was great! We would travel Collette again. Once again.. Barbara Hunter is a wealth of knowledge!! Absolutely a fantastic person and tour guide.
I enjoyed the Dublin Walking tour. Our tour guide gave us a nice overview of noted city areas and historic background information on each. We were able to find our way back to the Temple Bar area for lunch.
This tour really gave us a great overview of Ireland, a mix of urban and countryside. I particularly enjoyed Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Mohr and staying at Cabra Castle. Dublin was great as well as Killarney and Limerick. We’re there places we wish we could have spent a little more time? Sure, but that just gives me a reason to go back! Going on a tour means you’re on the tour’s schedule, but it does make things very easy and and you get to see much more of the country. I highly recommend this tour!
While there is SO much to see, I think the "Shades" tour gives a terrific overview of the countless sites, sounds and flavors available! I feel particularly lucky to have had Barbara Hunter as our guide. She provided us an unforgettable experience with her knowledge of all the sites visited. Her personable friendly demeanor and quick wit was second to none and kept the tour particularly interesting and action-packed!
I enjoyed all of the tour.! It met my expectations for first experience in Ireland . Barbara was an excellent tour guide. The bus driver was charming and a safe driver. The time and overnight at castle was much too short. This stop should have been at least a two day stay.
Best .....drive coast and dog / sheep Worst .... and I never complain ..... Aer Lingus ... outbound flight was cancelled .... and even before we left .... worst customer service in their call center ... never a response from and on line complaint email I sent . Airport staff - lack of updated communication and on board - lack of customer service. Worst Airline ever. I was so happy to delete their App. But Collette ...... everything about Collette was wonderful!!
