Reviews of our Banff National Park Tours for August
Feedback from guests whose tour started in/around Banff National Park during August.
Insight planning was spot on! We had a great tour director and bus driver that took us to beautiful places safely. Our tour director was very knowledgeable and friendly. Loved the tour.
Nonstop beautiful sights as you travel through the Canadian Rockies. While traveling between incredible destinations on the trip, you will stop at just as breathtaking sights along the roadway. Travel in style in a luxury coach while gaining fast access to must-see vistas.
We were able to see the beauty of the Canadian Rockies along with the historic aspects of this area. The pace of the tour was comfortable and learning about the indigenous peoples from actual persons of the First Nation. The river rafting was SO much fun and being able to walk on a glacier is a once in a lifetime experience. Also, on this particular tour, we were fortunate enough to view so many different kinds of wildlife safely from the coach.
I am so thrilled I got to do this trip. It was beyond my expectations. Our tour guide "Mads" was exceptional, also an excellent cook. The camping was hilarious and the food was great and I loved all of the activities. If we wanted to do something, she'd help us figure it out. I loved EVERY single second. I think it was the right amount of time as well, especially with camping, it was so nice to get in a bed at the end. But I wouldn't have changed it, I met some real lifelong friends from all over the world.
The Westbound Canadian Rockies tour was amazing and beyond anything I ever expected. The guide, locations, activities, sights between destinations, accommodations, logistics, and group dynamics were all spot on. For any other first timers, please know that you don't necessarily need to plan your own transport to the optional activities. If several of the group are interested, the guide will take those who are interested.
This tour was marketed and sold as a luxury experience, but the reality fell far short. Whilst, the early accommodation was good, it spiralled dramatically at the end. The tour group was relocated to Hinton not Jasper as per the original itinerary. This added an additional 4 hours of unnecessary travel each day that we were there. The Hinton hotel provided a basic self service breakfast with plastic cutlery and cardboard plates - more like a kid's camp, rather than a premium experience. The rooms were not cleaned properly. Thankfully, our Tour Director and Driver were outstanding throughout the trip. This tour was not the premium trip that we paid for.
