Arenal Volcano Tours in January 2027

Costa Rica is a real adventure that our two teenage boys relished. A great mix of wildlife, adrenaline and travel that took us off the beaten track and gave us a taste of the real Costa Rica. My eldest son appreciated the fact we weren’t “stuck in tourist traps” but explored some of the history and culture of each region. Their highlights were the whitewater rafting, zip -lining, speed boat ride to Corcovado and hanging out in Dominical with the surf, monkey, iguanas and toucans. The hotels were really great quality and our guide was super knowledgeable on everything from wildlife to restaurant recommendations.

Thank you for an amazing trip. Dani was an excellent guide with a great combination of knowledge on wildlife and all things Costa Rican. Plus he possessed the enthusiasm and people skills to give us all a really great experience. A big thank you also to Josue who was also excellent in every respect and provided us with the support to enjoy and complete the trip.

We had an amazing time doing the coast to coast trip across Costa Rica everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our guides Dani, Jose and Memo where fantastic and spoke perfectly good English. Nothing was too much trouble. The food they prepared in the evenings was excellent. Dani, Jose and Memo are very knowledgeable and kept us updated on the wildlife and facts.

Overall, I was very happy with this trip. I would recommend better accommodations given the age of this group and the physical activities in the trip. Having a better accommodation would help in getting a good night sleep and feeling more prepared for the next day. Marco deserves a promotion after experiencing this trip with him! As my first solo trip I felt very comfortable having him as a guide and seeing how much he cared for our groups experience.

This tour was well organized and full of fun and enriching activities. I felt I had the opportunity to see and experience a lot of Costa Rica within the 9 short days we were there. Irene, our CEO, was definitely an unexpected highlight of the trip! I really appreciated her diligence, patience, and friendliness.

This trip exceeded our expectations. We had so much fun, both simply spending time with one another, visiting the highlights of Costa Rica, and doing the activities scheduled for us. Our group consisted of 19 people, and Katherine was a pro at herding us around and ensuring that we were able to do the activities included in the tour as well as activities not specifically listed in the itinerary. Having Katherine as our CEO really made this a low-stress, high-fun family vacation!
