Such an amazing experience. Our guide was exceptional as was out driver. They looked after our every need and advised on places to eat. I love that Explore support the local community. Nice range of hotels, smaller and more intimate. Amazing history. Sailing was my favourite day! Gallipoli was very sad. Istanbul was amazing! Ephesus was huge! The group was small and we all got on really well. No stress at all. The perfect adventure! Such an insight into an amazing country. Thank you!

This was a great trip, with a good mix of historical sights, boat trips/swimming opportunities, visit to the Gallipoli war graves, and finishing with a couple of nights in the bustling city of Istanbul. All entrance fees (apart from a few optional extras) were included in the trip cost so there were no hidden costs. Our guide was excellent and gave us lots of info each day and was always willing to answer questions. His restaurant suggestions were also really good.

A superb and enjoyable introduction to Turkey. A well thought out balanced trip including scenic drives, changing landscapes, wonderful historical sites and boat trips. An excellent tour leader flexible and accommodating our needs. made sure we knew about the History and Culture of the areas we visited. made sure we had enough time at our visits. Visited local restaurants to sample the local cuisine. An excellent driver made you feel very safe no matter how narrow and busy some of the streets were.

I have travelled on Explore trips before and they have always been good but the guide on this trip, Tim lifted this trip from good to excellent. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for the sites we visited brought them to life. He took us to local restaurants and wineries that produced delicious food and wine. The trip is an interesting mix of ancient sites, small towns and a stop by the sea. The variety of locations, from high mountains to bustling seaside towns, gives a good idea of how diverse and fascinating Türkiye is. Thank you Tim and fellow travelers for a fabulous time. The Winston Pub will always be a fond memory!

This is a great itinerary focusing on just western Turkey and visiting many ancient sites. Our guide, Tim, was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and oh so knowledgeable about the complex history of Turkey and ancient Anatolia – he was the prime reason we enjoyed our trip so much!

Tour leader excellent and entertaining. Freely knowledgeable, good communicator, accessible and personable. Tour well thought through; well paced, with good mix of essential, classical pieces and recreational activities. Accommodation good to even better and hosts charming and helpful throughout. Good driver and a good companionable group. A thoroughly enjoyable and stimulating holiday which will be long remembered.
