The Mardi Himal trek is a short but attractive hiking destination that starts from Kande, a short drive from Pokhara, and ends in Lwang eco-village near Pokhara. The trek route goes through Australian camp (a famous mountain viewpoint in the lower valley) to Deurali hill, then up to Forest camp with a moderate ascend. Continue trekking through the rhododendron forest ridge up to 4400 meters to Mardi Himal Base Camp. Mardi peak is 5800 meters and very rocky, and just next to Mardi is Mount Fishtail (Machhapuchchhre), with its iconic striking peak. Admire the view looking down to Annapurna Valley. After descending down to Seding and reaching Lawang village, experience the rural area, organic mountain coffee and tea and exceptional hospitality from the local village people. Due to its short length and moderate difficulty level, Mardi trek is an excellent choice for beginner trekkers. It is also the only trek in the Annapurna region to take trekkers so close to the mountains on foot.

Unforgettable Mardi Himal Trek

I had Mardi Himal trekking with my parter few month ago. This trek was booked from this local operator as one of my friend recommended this trek. Support from this trekking agency was great from the beginning. They provided all the necessary equipment required for this trek. The arrangement was great. Mr Sujan kept checking on us. Guide Kamal was amazing and has great sense of humour. We successfully completed this trekking. The tour operator and its team is highly recommended.

We booked this trek via the local operator and it was the best decision we ever made. They have 20 years of experience. They have very experienced and knowledgeable guide and porter. During this 13 days trekking we flew to Pokhara on the third day of this tour and reached Mardi Himal Base Camp after five days of uphill slog. The route was mostly steep and follows ridge lines but the views along the way are wonderful.During this trip we saw mighty Himalayas while sparkling rivers, lush, green terraces, gurgling streams and forests. We had a wonderful time during this trek. Highly recommended
