I did the EBC & Kala Pathar trek with Nepal Climbing team in Oct-23, I wanted to write in a review about my experience with this travel and expedition company. I had been planning to go to EBC for a few years now and finally it all came together in 2023, i was going through a lot of blogs, websites and youtube videos before deciding on the operator for this trip. Thats when this company was referred by a friend who did the EBC trek in the past. Right from the first communication with Krishna Subedi, the team was very professional, patient in answering myriad of questions i had about the trip. Krishna gave a call and walked me through the itinerary, cost and the preparation that i need to do to be able to experience a nice trek. Even though i had spoken with Krishna a few times, I was still skeptical prior to the trip worried about arrangements and the over all planning around the trip. But as soon as i landed in Kathmandu, I was escorted from the airport and was absolutely taken care of throughout the entire duration of the trip. The hotel arrangements in Thamel was very good, the crew also guided and helped me around the Thamel markets to get some of the hiking gears. Krishna introduced me to the guide, who spoke good English and Hindi. And then the trip started, the arrangements were perfect, we were fortunate on the weather part, no delays in getting to Lukla and then onwards we were able to follow the itinerary - all the villages and tea houses we stayed. The hotel and arrangements were top class. Clean and hygienic tea houses were provided. The guide Neema Sherpa was very knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly. He answered all the questions i had, spent a lot of time clicking pictures and videos and he was a very good friend through out the journey. And after the return to Kathmandu, again the stay provided by the company was really good and a hospitable place with nice food. My entire experience due to these professional arrangements was very smooth. Over all i had a fantastic trekking experience through the help of the guide Neema and the team led by Krishna, i would highly recommend any one to engage Krishna and team for a terrific trekking experience.

The Annapurna circuit trek was incredible. Our guide Raju (pics attached) made it so special- he was the best guide ever. Nima our porter was also excellent, very kind always putting us first. We felt very well looked after. A couple of days in I fell ill, but Raju put my needs at the forefront. He made sure I was safe at all times, constantly checking my oxygen levels and breathing, I felt very safe. In his supply’s he had some medication which cleared the illness. If it wasn’t for Raju’s preparation I don’t think I would have been able to finish the trek- I am so grateful The views and trekking routes were spot on. Raju was very knowledgable telling us about the mountains but also giving us space to walk together- he had the perfect balance. The guest houses were excellent, much better than I had expected with a private room at all of the locations. Excellent food options too, 3 large meals a day, we weren’t going to go hungry! I highly recommend this local tour operator! We took 18 days trek to Everest Base Camp and 3 High Passes in November and the experience was just amazing. We had everything professionally organized by Chris: transportation (including flight to Lukla), food and lodging, permits, you name it... The contact with the company was always quick and easy, Chris was super helpful and everything went smoothly. We were even provided with really good and warm sleeping bags and jackets! Our guide Lakpa was really experienced and knowledgeable, he showed us some of the most incredible places we've ever seen, helped us through all the though parts of the trail and was always there to answer questions and offer advice. I did the Mera Peak trekking over 15 days, organized by local tour specialists. Mr. Krishna Subedi (Kris) is the manager of the organization. He is a very good co-ordinator, puts you immediately on whatsapp when you arrive, and keeps following up your trekking and summit experience. When there were small problems, he immediately took action and contacted the right people. My guide Mr. Neyma Sherpa was also very helpfull and an excellent guide. The trek itself was very enjoyable. The Tea houses were very good and they were very flexible when i prefered another teahouse than the one they already booked. A few extra things to keep in mind: - The month May used to be the best month for Mera Peak but we had a lot of rain... May-be April or October is becoming better now... - Listen to your guide at all times and don't go up to fast. The trekking is also about acclimatizing. Sometimes you need that extra day at 4000m... - Take a portable solar panel with you and a power bank. (min 12W, 20W is better). It will pay itself back. You pay a lot in the teahouses to get your phone charged (a lot of them also use solar power). - I personally prefer not to rent climbing gear but to take my own. I always hike and climb with the same pair of C boots with semi-automatic crampons. My C boots are big enough to wear 2 pair of socks if necessary. My smartwhool socks were warm enough on the summit day (-10 to -15 °C) - Take a porter. They are not expensive and your hiking comfort will increase a lot. - Don't forget to use sunscreen, especially on the summit day when you leave at 2 am in the dark and you're not thinking about the sun at that time. - Make sure you are in excellent physical shape. After the summit, you will need 3 more days to get to Lukla.
