Clocking in approximately 346 kilometers, this biking expedition across Flat Country is for all avid cyclists. Thanks to the Netherlands’ low-lying terrains, it makes cycling between cities, towns, villages and pastures pretty easy. The longest distance is day four, covering 80 kilometers, and most other days are between 40 and 60 kilometers. The cities are super bike-friendly, and when you’re not passing buildings, otherworldly forests and woodlands greet you at every turn. You’ll catch ferries along the way, and peddle over a few waterways — which feels oh so Dutch! Fall head over heels for Haarlem’s bright tulip fields and markets, Hoorn is a great destination to explore the Dutch Golden Age and Enkhuizen is also rich in historic monuments. Other highlights include Orvelte living open-air museum filled with thatched-roof farmhouses and cobbled streets, and staying in a 5-star manor from the 14th century. See all tours and trips in the Netherlands.
