Catch a flight to the far north and discover the otherworldly, lunar-like landscapes of the Atacama Desert. Explore the vast salt flats and relax in the hot springs before hopping on a flight to mythical Easter Island, or ‘Rapa Nui.’ Visit the two most impressive Moai sites on the island: Tongariki is an imposing line of 15 Moai statues, and Rano Raraku is the site where most of the Moai were made, and many of the most recognizable ones are still present. It’s worth the hike up to the Orongo Ceremonial village just for the views, but you can also glimpse the traditional life of the Rapa Nui.
