We had an absolutely amazing time on our Annapurna circuit trek. We were a group of 4 together with our guide Binod and porters Depesh and Ashok. They took great care of us, taught us a lot about the Annapurna region and most of all made sure we were all having fun. Great people and truly amazing views. Highly recommend!

If you wanna do bird watching and spot wildlife, highly recommend him. I saw so many rare birds. Got a lady guide Sushma for Kathmandu tour. Another extraordinary day. She added a trip to Kalabairav for me. Highly recommend her. She is calm, understanding, knowledgeable and great photographer. Very imp guide is a good photographer for solo trips. I had Krishna and Sushma help me all along the way. They are guides who turned to be great friends. We had an amazing time all along. I am so happy and proud. Love nepal! I recently completed the Manaslu & Tsum Valley trek, and it’s safe to say it was one of the most rewarding and culturally rich experiences I’ve had in the Himalayas.
From the start, the communication with the company was clear, prompt, and reassuring. They helped tailor the itinerary slightly to suit my pace and interests, and everything from permits to logistics was handled smoothly—which is no small feat in such a remote region.
Our guide, was fantastic—not only knowledgeable about the trails, villages, and cultural nuances, but also genuinely caring and adaptable. He struck the perfect balance between giving us space to take in the environment and stepping in when needed (especially during the tougher parts of the trail).
The trek itself is stunning but not for the faint-hearted. Compared to more well-known routes like Annapurna or Everest, this one feels wilder and less developed, which was exactly what I was looking for. The trails wind through deep gorges, suspension bridges, serene monasteries, and small villages that still feel untouched by mass tourism. Tsum Valley in particular felt incredibly special—like stepping into another world, with its Tibetan-influenced culture and timeless pace of life.
Accommodation was understandably basic in many places, but my guide chose the best available tea houses and kept me and the others well-fed and comfortable. Even during the colder nights at higher altitudes, we always felt looked after.
Overall, this trek was physically demanding, culturally immersive, and emotionally grounding. It’s not your typical tourist trail, and that’s exactly why I’d recommend it—and especially go with a reputable company —to anyone seeking a more authentic Himalayan adventure. In a safe way!

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a classic guesthouse trek in Nepal. The trail lies on the western part of the Annapurna range, which includes mountains such as Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna 1, Ganagapurna, Annapurna 3 and Machhapuchhare. All these majestic mountains are set in a circle around Annapurna Base Camp, at a diameter of ten miles. Upon reaching Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters, you will thus be rewarded with an amphitheater of snow covered mountains all around you - an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime moment likely never to be forgotten.
From this mountainous epicenter, also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Modi Khola cuts its way south in a narrow gorge being 12,000 feet deep. Further south, the gorge opens up into a wide and fertile valley, the domain of the local Gurung people. We will pass through several local villages on this trek giving you ample of opportunity to get insights on local traditions and cultures.
The middle and upper portions of Modi Khola offer some of the best short trekking routes in Nepal, and the valley is located so that these trails are easily combined into this trekking itinerary.
If you are reasonably fit and able to walk 5-6 hours a day, you can do this trek. If you are not confident in your physical fitness, we recommend adding a porter when booking. One porter can carry 30 kgs and can be shared between two people.
All in all, this a fantastic trek and trail, not to be missed!

I had Mardi Himal trekking with my parter few month ago. This trek was booked from this local operator as one of my friend recommended this trek. Support from this trekking agency was great from the beginning. They provided all the necessary equipment required for this trek. The arrangement was great. Mr Sujan kept checking on us. The itinerary is very well thought out with lots to see and do. Everyday had a highlight and the Nepalese are so friendly and inviting. The views of the Himalayas in Nagarkot and Pokhara were stunning. The hotels were in excellent locations throughout. There are walks for those who want to and options for those who don't. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, regardless of physical ability. Our tour leader, Su, was excellent and worked tirelessly to ensure our safety, enjoyment and general happiness. He is the best leader I have had out of some 27 tours. This is Explore's strong point - they know how to pick and train tour leaders and Su was the best of the best.
